Ours are 190 grams without any attachments on. Often do you only need one or two short picatinny attachments. So that means that ours are often half weight compared to other manufacturers. Also is ours slim so you can grip around it, something you not can with a 3 rail.
More like a speech impairment, hella cringey when foreigners try to make videos in english when they have those thick accents or aren't even fluent. Instead of just speaking in their native language and adding subtitles
I am planning on running an Elcan SpecterDR 1.5-6x on my G3 clone. The added additional top rail space would be if I ever wanted to put a NV device in front of it. For the forend you are correct I would only run 3 short rails.
Yes I see what you mean, I've been looking more and more at the AR-15 stock adapter. Do you have the AR buffer tube fully assembled with spring and all? and if so do you feel that it helps tame the recoil?
Where exactly could I get the rail covers for the handguard? Got one of these for my PTR-91 and I'm really impressed with the quality of this handguard! Also waiting on getting your stock system as well!
Yes but why having 3X1ft of picatinny when needing 2"x3 picatinnys? Besides is you look at our scopemount that also gives you the possibility to mount a laser on there....
I sent an email product recommendation to Spuhr for a companion accessory to this. It would be a front sight triple frame with the top ring milled down and replaced with a bit of picatinny rail. That way people could use any AR-style backup iron sights they wanted.
Nope, orignal buffer can't be in there, as there is no space. The buffer placement collides with the AR buffertube. And it would be outsight SILLY to mount the buffertube around the G3 buffer as that would give you smacks in the face from the hump and the stock would need to be to long. Have you seen my Full auto Movie with G3 here on youtube?
This is the upper rail mount I am looking at, ar15.com/forums/t_6_9/329860_MFIandapos_s_long_optic_rail_for_G3_pattern_rifles___Pic_heavy_.html My only gripe which is very minor is it doesn't sit as low as the B&T even though they are very close.
I have to get a longer stock for my Hk91. Even the Hk21 club foot I put on it is a bit to short. I am 6'2" with arms of a 6'3" person and I love my 91 but that AR buffer would be awesome
Nope I have not and there is really no reason to as it has the same flaws as the orignal stock. Hump hit's you in the face, they compensated by making the stock obscenely to long. My solution is to rise the cheekpice so the hump dissapears then you can have your head where the hump use to be. and the stock will be 2-3" shorter.
Please have a look at this link: v v v .facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=460865183961675&set=a.449263538455173.93102.157836424264554&type=3&theater So I can get a NV there without the Spectre DR. And if you have a stock that is for the correct lenght for you, a normal toprail would be to short for a NV attachment.
Very true! If it's not on my rifle, it doesn't exist. Been waiting for someone in the US to carry their G3 stock. UPDATE 8/2017: finally found one at Mile High Shooting Accessories. Looks awesome- thanks MHSA!
The G3 ergonomics sucks? Have you considered that maybe you are the problem instead of the gun? Well this gun has been used by thousands of troops around the world, it used to be the issued rifle in the swedish military and nobody ever coplained about the ergonomics being poor and a del breaker. It's made to be handled by soldiers not some civilian out of shape who isn't even trained for combat. Are you really claiming you know better than the engineers that made this gun? The G3 is a brute gun because it's a roll back mechanism chambered in 762, it's not meant for weaklings, it's meant to be used in the most adverse climates on the planet, which is the reason in the desert, jungle or third world slums, you will only find G3's, FAL's and AK's
people say the ergonomics suck because they're 5'6 and their stubby arms have to extend to grab the charging handle. all negative reviews on this gun are from man-children
