The Spuhr Ideal Chassis System, S.I.C.S., new from our friends in Sweden, how ideal is it? This chassis is packed full of impressive engineering and attention to detail. We’ve been excited to try this out since we saw it at SHOT show. Nathan has used it recently in some team sniper matches and gives us a quick breakdown of his impressions.

At this point it is a better deal then the MDT JAE 700 G4 chassis..I can see $1800. Over $2400. Looks great too

Asked Spuhr about long action in 3.850" mag length for 300 PRC build. According to Spuhr, that's a No Go. Current LA mag length is 3.650" (according to them). If you've got a contact, please request that they offer in a CIP + mag configuration.

OOoof they sell scope mounts for the price of chassis, I cant imagine what their chassis cost!

Looks amazing, probably functions as well as it looks, but it's not practically priced when most people can't justify a 1200 dollar stock or chassis as is.

Lots of room in the market for items of all price/complexity/featuring. If the market isn't interested in their system at their price, SPUHR may adjust - who knows!

@Area 419 for sure just not reasonable for my annual round count. When I start to afford enough ammo to make the chassis be the difference in my shooting ill see how much I have left in my wallet.

Don’t get me wrong, Spuhr makes some great products, especially their mounts. But I would never buy this because their mounting system is proprietary.

@@area419 did it require an upgraded mag latch? I just got one of the new ARC actions and I have a bunch of AW mags from ya'll and have my fingers crossed for the SICS!

@@gavinmccort354 Nope, didn't have to do anything. Of course you may find a situation where you need to tune the feed lips of your specific mags for your specific action setup but that's all rifle setups and non-specific to the SPUHR
