I think Cuti is great and I would hate for him to go, but if he really wants to go to Real we need to sell for max we can and do it early in the transfer window so there is a time to find replacement. I'm not going to discount the pull of playing for the perennial winner like Real, and I think Cuti's quality is such that he will fit. Ndombele never seemed fit to me, right from the beginning. Even when he had his good spell it was small spurts during matches because he was unable to sustain any high effort.

Real Madrid have ageing centre backs and are desperate, they know Levy is a hard to do business with so know they are only likely to buy Cuti in that ball park figure of £100 - £120 million. There is a case that Cuti could also hold back other up and coming talent in; Dragusin, Phillips and Vuskovic. Though Cuti is getting better in his judgement with his rash challenges, there always is that slight chance of him seeing that red mist and getting sent off, could it be a blessing in disguise? Whatever happens, that money could help fund in other needed areas of the squad.

I will always love Romero, but this transfer makes a lot of sense for us. Dragu was the bell for this If we make good on the massive transfers 2-4 years of service, then a profit- you can't stuff it up. You'll always have more money than everybody else forever (unless they sell ALL of their players for a profit) Because we have managed the last 10 years better.
