Joey Wolf it was an internet series not an official cartoon, it was bought by mad, and I don't think it is as much dark as it is slapstick, but the one where black spy gets shredded was kinda dark
While I do agree that the original is generally better, there are specific shorts from the 2010 version that I think are better than anything the originals brought us. One example is Costume Party.
the cartoon that the segment from 2:30 to 3:15 is based on originally started with the black spy swearing at the white spy as he walked past the building...
The popular theory is that these guys basically premiered when the US and Russia were still doing that Cold War thing. We were spying on each other, had the Arms race going on--sniping back and forth. So the idea is that this is a sort of abstract representation of it.
Well the spy vs spy had 3 complete series. The MADtv one, The Mountain Dew one and the Cartoon Network which was the latest cartoon one. Maybe the fourth cartoon might be coming soon maybe 10 years or 13 years might be the forth series.
Blockman_20 they maybe appeared as a cameo in later Madtv. But I think about what if they are human which makes them change to completely different character then the foxes they are now by smaller pointy nose and ears visible on sides. Their species is not a human at all they are anthropomorphic white foxes. They have pointy nose and their ears are usually covered by hat and they are shown it looks like split of hair reminds me of Oggy and the Cockroaches. But their tail is missing maybe mutations or even removed by accidents in the car.
whats happing In the first one? All I can recognize is ants being brought into the hospital into White Spy's foot cast. White Spy mouth was muffled but whats that thing Black spy is pouring into the shoe?
Does anyone notice that the last one had some blood? Because in the MADtv version, the spiked ceiling skit had blood while the Cartoon Network version did not. Maybe it's because Cartoon Network's version of Spy vs Spy is more kid friendly than the comic strip and MADtv versions.
the first one always traumatized me as a kid. i was 9 years old and never saw torture, even in the form of animation. not only that, but the fact that it doesn’t even have a regular ending such as letting the ending music play always stuck with me. even now almost 22, i want to skip it. it’s so horrible to think about. but that’s just what the Spy’s were: ruthless. it sure was fun watching videos unrestricted at such a young age. a lot more violent and trauma inducing lol.
4:04 the Black Spy Can’t lift the heavy weight but the white Spy can, but the only problem is, the weight just snap Brocken and the two weight lifting ball hits the White Spy hard! And black Spy clapping his hands and thinking wow to easy to kill, good job white Spy you Smartass! LOL!
I remember all the episode shorts on Spy vs Spy on MAD TV when I was a kid these spies duke it out each. I wish they should team up and get even with sexy Grey Spy. I created a EviL Spy who in Maroon color clothes permanent angry red eyes and a stitch scar on the right side of his eye 👁. I also created a Orange Spy for my animation project for a bumper for Nickelodeon logo like out with the new logo and in with the original logo.
I don't know why, but for some reason, both Black Spy and White Spy kinda remind me of Beavis and Butthead, but on steroids. Maybe it's probably their disturbing, albeit hilarious, antics, I guess. Just imagine: Beavis and Butthead do Spy vs. Spy.
this is supposed to air on mad TV but instead mad TV was cancelled in 2009. now it was aired on mad but it was also cancelled in 2014 so that also spy vs spy is gone from your TV (for good (at least it has a comic series)).
Dear hollymad1000, I really hope you know that they most definitely had color TV's in the 80s. Even the Wizard of Oz, which came out in the 50's was, in color. And since I don not want this to go on forever, this is my first and final reply.
