I like this and would probably get one. As an alternative philosophy of use, I can imagine it would be a great knife for first responders. Less maintenance, no pointy tip, longer pocket clip and an easy to spot colour.

Scored the serrated Pacific for kayaking, rafting, tubing the Arkansas River in Colo. Love it. I appreciate the longer grip, pocket clip and color. When it's late and your tired the green stands out. 5 star for what it is.

Beautiful looking knife and love that straight razor,cleaver-revers tanto-shaped type of blade,perfect for edc and deal with every type of situations and problems on his path...It's perfect for fish skinning and preparing for nice tasty meal,very good blade shape,strong and steady for underwater activities,shell collectings from oceans floors,cuttings,some diggings...

LC200N is also tough as hell. I carry it every day for work on my Native 5 and nicking a staple come right out, while my S30V chipped in the same scenario. Come to think of it, so did my utility knife

It's on the list. The very, very long list. I live on the coast so it just makes sense to have a knife with LC200N. I just purchased a Native 5 Salt and I love it. I have a Pacific Salt and I'm extremely disappointed with H1 steel. I would recommend staying away from H1. I'm sorry Spyderco, but that's just the way it is. I love your channel, man. Probably my favourite one having to do with knives. Stay safe, and thank you.

So a couple months owning this and my biggest complaint is the handle is an inch too long, and not having liners it feels like the cheapest knife I own. That said I bought it for cutting food and stuff around the pool, and I like being able to get it sticky with fruit and popsicles for the kids, rinse it off in the hose water and not have to worry about it until I’m inside later. Happy with the purchase just wish I got the delica. But this silly looks are what sold me on it 😄
@mrbigberd
@mrbigberd 2 года назад
The extra inch of length is intentional. When diving, you have gloves on and it gives extra space. It also gives a little extra leeway if you slip for one reason or another.

@@westsenkovec I have a Native 5 Lightweight with no liners and no washers. The action is smooth and the backlock has no up or down nor side to side play. And I have bear pawed it. The lack of washers actually means it needs less care. A well designed backlock doesn't need all of this reinforcement you lads care about.

My only question is for serrated. In plain edge no question the LC200N is superior. However, H1 is known for being one of the best performing serrated steels because it’s work-hardened. I wonder if the LC200N is still better in serrated.

If you live on the coast sure, otherwise no need. Just keep your knives in good working order and you'll be fine. I'm over 55, have been on the water a lot, and never had the need or desire for a rust-proof knife.
@evangibeau4489
@evangibeau4489 3 года назад
Although I believe that's valid to an extent, there are plenty of other applications for a knife like this. For example - I work for a water softening company, and I find myself cutting open 60-90 bags of salt daily. After getting a ton of rust spots on my usual carries (LC204P, Nitro-V) I switched to this knife. No issues whatsoever. Before you ask, yes I was oiling my other knives. Cutting through those bags all day wears the oil off.
@evangibeau4489
@evangibeau4489 3 года назад
@@JusttheEdge it just says 204p on the blade. I just tell people it's m390 because they're the same composition.
