I found a newer version of the SQ8, which seems to be a mix of the SQ8 and the SQ11, in any case, I decided to take a look at it.

I ordered 1 it has no sd card. How do I reformat a card for this SQ8.

Yes, most cameras do not include an sd card in the package. Formatting a card is fairly simple, you will need to connect your sd card to a computer or phone (you may need an adapter for this. There should be an option to format.

My "new" SQ8's are plastic but the front still has the old style front with 4 LED lights and original microphone placement. Reminds me more of an SQ11. Video quality sucks compared to the older metal models. Although the color is better, it is way too zoomed, with jerkier video if not on a solid surface, and not even VHS quality.

What you are describing sounds a lot like a fake SQ8. Unfortunately, most of them sold nowadays are probably fake.

@@doodlejkreviews Thanks! Even the screen on these new ones is more square, not 16 x 9, and the time stamp is on top, not on the bottom like usual.
