For me the World Class definition comes down to two things, 1) Andy said the player can get into any team in the world 2) They are the best 3-4 players in that position. So example Kane, Haaland, Lewandowski all world class in my opinion. So based on that I think B.Silva is world class as a CM/CAM for most teams.
I would also include them performing actions on multiple occations that most people cant. Example:lewa has scored like over 30 goals in the league the past seasons. Or modric and de bruyne with their passes
@@robinharlaar I get that but these players doing those actions as you’ve said would’ve made them automatically top 3-4 players in there position. Like if you perform consistently, then you are world class etc Like I support Utd and Pogba had world class potential but didn’t do it enough so I don’t think he was good enough to be classed as world class
I would say Bernardo Silva is world class. Playing in one of the most talented teams in the world and still stands out consistently with his play. He may even be underappreciated with all of the big names that City has
France vs Switzerland in the euros was a belting game for the neutral. Switzerland go 1-0 up, France then go on to score a further 3. The Swiss grab 2 goals late on and Mbappe of all people misses a penalty in the shootout to send them packing. Unreal scenes.
As a Portuguese, I can only hope and believe that we'll go far. However, due to our manager, if I'm being realistic, I don't expect great things, even if the talent is there (in terms of players).
Yh i agree, im portuguese too and fernando santos only knows how to play for ties, and sometimes he cant even do that. Any win of ours is player merit, cause he sure cant coach
He is world class, KDB is a different type of midfielder. Bernado silva doesnt just offer an attacking threat but also drops back and defends and controls a midfield despite his size, he is unreal!
Our midfield 3 are all world class hands down. Bernardo silva Rodri and kdb. Gundogan on the verge too due to his consistency and that 20 goal season where he stepped up when Kev was injured. Scarily good midfield depth
Thats not a logical argument. That's like me saying that you can't talk because Richarlison was a toffee and scored more in one match for Brazil than Nunez has scored in his last 9 for Uruguay. Kinda dumb... But you are an LFC fan soooo.... Or saying that Austrailia has a better player because one of theirs scored more than Nunez has at world cup. Or saying you can't talk because Coady has scored more in his last 9 appearances for England than Nunez has for Uruguay. Not an Everton fan, just love shutting up the bindipping butchers of Haysel. Don't cause another stadium disaster just because you are butthurt, mate.
bernardo silva is one of citys best players. we turned down a swap deal with psg that had neymar because hes integral. he walks into every single team in the world, no exceptions.
I saw a video about him and the man said he is word class in to positions... right wing and mid/can and I totally agree with him. This coming from a liverpool fan. The man went on to ask if there are any other players wordclass in 2 two positions and honestly there aren't a lot.
I mean that is plain bs. right wing and midfield are as different as difference between being a deep lying playmaker and box to box midfielder or ball winning midfielder. By your logic there are plenty in two positions... Left and right backs cause they can play as wingers when they are world class? Of which there are loads. And have been throughout history.
Bernardo silva is world class it hard to judge considering the depth of the city team I think Gabriel Jesus is the perfect example or if you were to put silva in the arsenal squad for odegaard I think silva would be the same if not better than him
What happens if one of the players gets a m injury and can’t continue? I was thinking if there could be like a subs rule. Not sure how you would play it but would cover that situation and could also be an option for one change during the match.
World class, do they start or make the bench in any of the two greatest teams you can make right now, so every position should have four options, and should get into almost any team in the world, obviously Kane lewandowski benzema are all world class
I'd say Bernardo is worldclass in what he is good at. In comparison to KdB, he and bernardo is different type of midfielders and by that makes Bernardo world class in what he does on the pitch.
He also said Martinez and not which Martinez. So if Itami had selected Lisandro Martinez could Andy have said he had him? Only reason I say no is due to the position as Martinez was of course the goalkeeper option but otherwise just find a surname shared by two players of the same position and cover multiple options.
De Bruyne is the best in the entire world at his position. To base world class off of the best in the world means that to be world class you have to be the best in that position, not just one of the best. I don’t see world class that way, because otherwise there would only be one world class midfielder/CAM and it would be DeBruyne and that’s a very small number of world class players for CAM. De Bruyne is elite though. Silva is definitely world class.
As a City fan, I fell in love with Bernardo in the 4-3 City Monaco game. Then we signed him and he became my favourite player, praying we somehow keep him at City
I think fifa does a great job at it. But for my world class is top so many in their position in the world. Like attacking midfielders I might classify 10-12 but strikers I could easily say 20. Center backs midfielders I could go 15-20 and defensive midfielders I might say 10. Wingers I could go 15-20
I’d say Bernardo is world class for this generation of attacking midfielders however if you were to put him in the era of Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ozil and iniesta I would say no so yeah it’s quite subjective.
I disagree. There are plenty of exciting world class attacking mids from Vitinha of Portugal all the way to Foden. What about Bruno at United or Odergard? Perdo Goncalves? Nkunku? Plenty of those are better than Silva and much younger...
Messi is still better then KDB he is amazing this season, but everyone only focus on Haaland and yes Bernardo is a world class player, but i would say that he is a second level tier of all world class, while the first tier is Haaland, Messi, Neymar, Kane, Son, Salah(inform), Benzema, Modric etc
The unnecessary hate on Qatar is ridiculous, having a World Cup in a Middle Eastern country is unique and Qatar is a beautiful country with wonderful people. People suddenly forget that just 4 years ago we had a World Cup in a country who created a war and think they own a completely different sovereign nation
Think Ronaldo has torpedoed Portugals hopes with this interview. He seems to have turned everyone against him and that mentality will be their downfall
How is he a level below that? Is he the best player in the world? Of course not but he would walk in any team in the world so he's literally world class.
world class means they are good enough to win world cup or major tournaments. for example: Naymar has never won anything for years other than French titles. Meanwhile Giroud has won a world cup and scored a glut of goals in the hardest league in the world. There is a term "flatters to deceive" applies here. I think Naymar is skilled but he isn't world class. I don't think he would do well in the prem and hasn't done well in Europe. He hasn't done anything at a world cup finals and does all his scoring for Brazil outside the world cup. Ivan Toney is better but can't get into England squad because its so competitive and partly cause Southgate is a fool.
Why we have to listen to Andy to think he knows things about football only to proceed to say Renato Sanches was going to the World Cup. Thank god for the fast forward function 😂😂
