Interesting homage, I have one with the cyclops & are very impressed with it, after 3 years its still running under 3 seconds a day, In a way Rolex are a Homage to Squale as Squale used to make cases for Rolex & others including Longines, Blancpain, Doxa, Enicar, Aquastar, Yema etc ect.
I've been sitting on mine here for sometime. I am undecided if I like the watch or not still. I know usually you know these things before buying but I swear I did like it at the time but after using it I just fell out with it. In the far future I think I will most likely have to part with mine and try picking up a genuine Squale dive watch. I have no problem with homage watches it's just for whatever reason this watch really knows how to get me :P As always keep it real and best of luck.
I have given it more chances lately and yes definitely switching the factory strap is the wisest decision. Every time I go to do the buckle on the default strap I would just put the watch back and opt for something else. Currently mine is on a leather strap but perhaps I can try a mesh like you as well. The 1545 case shape might not be a sub homage.... Look at the 1960's Atmos 25.... looks like a rolex sub but the years are interesting since the sub also got it's crown guards in 1959?
I have one of these; I got it in 2020 from LIW. Mine has the Sellita movement. It has a slightly different clasp & doesn’t include a dive extension. It really is a nice watch; I should probably wear it more than I do.
Hi chriscon8463, you hit it man... Interesting to hear that Squale was releasing them before with a diff movement and diff configuration. You are right, for both of us.... It really is a nice watch I just hate the bracelet and if I do put it on leather or something else I just feel like I have other watches that better fit the situation so I'm really torn about this one. I don't want to sell the watch but I feel like it just sits around and stares back at me, laughing at my inability to control my watch purchasing habits. There is so many companies that makes watches that looks like Rolex. Let’s just say seiko Speedtimer But they’re not considered a micro brand. I don’t think Squale is a micro brand. companies would not let a micro brand company make their watch cases. Zenith also have a watch that looks like the Daytona. The Zenith Chronomaster. What do you consider a micro brand? Invicta Started 1937 and has a watch that looks like the Rolex. I Was just curious because Breitling Omega in Rolex also used an ETA movement at one point. Some people say it’s the size of the company but what if Squale was a car like a Lamborghini that only puts out 6000 cars per year. We would say how great Squale was.
I will stop feeling guilty about buying good quality, Swiss-made "homage" watches that copy the design language of the high-prestige and high-priced brands, when Rolex (to take an example) stops charging ridiculous multiples of their manufacturing costs for items like the Submariner and GMT master. Several iconic Rolex watches \ have been in production for ages - surely the tooling, labour and materials costs for these have been amortized many times over - currently the most significant input cost related to these is marketing, including paying celebrities big bucks to promote them. It is interesting to see what Mike France of Christopher Ward watches has to say on this topic, especially in relation to their own products, which they price transparently at twice their production cost. And BTW Squale have been innovators in dive watches and case manufacturing for decades - there are quite a few watches out there that are homages to original Squale dive and military watches.

Davosa Ternos I think you mean? Tuseno is a watch brand altogether the one with the sandwich. Looks decent was interested in it for a moment but later wasn't.
