I'll admit I really enjoyed this video all together. I feel fortunate to stumble across it because I'm wanting to save a 75 3+3 camper special but converting to 4x4 is a must. I have a pass drop divorced np205 in a local farmers D.I.Y. 4x4 "highboy" ranger crew in the frame he abandoned with input shaft to np245 4spd. My 75 3+3 has no train in it rn and I want to use cheap "excess junk" here in the barn yard before committing to the "12v/nv4500" or "lbz" which I'm hoping will make all the effort to save the truck worth it in the long run.
7:00 with having a two-piece driveshaft you still want to have a pretty straight angle from axle to transfer case. Lower down your carrier bearing bracket to balance the pitch of the universal at the transfer case and after the carrier bearing.
Copy that. I still haven't put an angle finder on it yet. Being lazy. The transfer case and carrier can be adjusted. I know the u-joint angles have to cancel each other 😎👍.
Thank you. Riding is very dangerous. I totaled one last year. Thankfully I was in full gear. Hurt pride more than anything. I'm just not ready to quit.
