Amazing information ! Thank you so much ! I'm still trying to figure out how to push my text box further to the left. It only goes to a certain extent. Kinda frustrating.

You may have to go in Design Settings and click "spacing" and drag the spacer so that it goes wider. This is after you adjusted the content width and left justified the text...

Hey there! How can you go back and add additional text within an existing section though, such as quotes? I would like to add more quotes within my quotes section but i do not have the option to add more text there.

This happened to me recently. I think there was a glitch... try reaching out to support to report it so they can fix it.

Thank you for your straightforward, informative and simple explanation of content blocks! I do have a question since you were going over images. Apologies if you've answered this in another video (this is the very 1st I've watched of yours!). Through Squarespace is it possible to crop your image into a shape? I'd like my image circular (vs. the standard square/rectangle). Thank you!

Make sure you are editing on a desktop and the full width of your window, try that!

This is a great tutorial! Precisely what I need. My problem is that those black bubbles you mentioned at 2:20 don't show up on my screen, in Edit mode. Seems like I'm not the only one. I'm using the full width on my Mac.

Hi, I'm having trouble editing a text box on my website. I assume the text box should automatically pop up, but it never does. It was working earlier however it doesn't show up anymore. I've referred back to your reply to Tammy W.'s comment as she was having the same problem but unfortunately it still doesn't seem to work.

This may be because there is an update in the editing feature and some changes. Click in the box to see if the option pops up...

Are you clicking and holding the image and moving it? You may be moving it into the "box outline" that appears. Use the grey line as a guide to where the text box is going and drop it where you want it to land.

In edit mode just hover over the image, click with your mouse or pad, and drag it where you need it to go! This is for an image block. If it is a banner image, you will have to delete it and add it again where you want it to go OR use the arrow in teh edit box up and down the page to where you want it to go.

I am currently working on my website and getting really frustrated. When will you stop with the spacer bars and just let us resize the picture itself? The spacer bars are the biggest pain in the ass to use. That is the only problem I have with squarespace. The spacer bars never seem to work the way you want. Grrr!

Hi there...great content (especially compared to the anemic vids offered by SQSP!). The info is great, but I'm a tad stuck where you add spacers and adjust the sizes to an existing block, say a quote or text block. I did learn to place the chosen spacer to the right or left of the vertical bar (or above, etc), to get it where you want. But once I place them where needed, I can't for the life of me grab the edges to adjust the sizes! Specifically, at 6:17 “...If want to make it a little larger..” Well, when I insert an image box, then add two spacers to balance the look/adjust the size, I cant grab the spacer lines to make then smaller and or larger. I can just about change the size of the image block but ONLY via the corner of the block (it moves diagonally) and seems to balk at going exactly where one wants, as if the sizes are sorta' preset. I'll look at your other vids in the meantime but if you have any input, I'm all ears! Thx....

Not without some code.. which is what I do not teach on for the purpose of keeping it simple. I know there are certain design preferences that are needed, you should look into a Squarespace coding expert for some help!

I don't believe so, there is a subscription option in the shop, that could be a workaround for you.

Hi. Thank you for your help. I've ran into a problem this evening. I am in edit mode but when I hover over most of the content blocks like text I cannot edit them except deleting by highlighting and clicking the delete button on my keyboard. I can still access editing options for the header but the whole editing experience seems to be broken. I am on 7.1. Please help.

@@bloomcreativecompany Yes, it turns out I had to wait a few hours for things to get back to normal. It still takes a bit to get used to 7.1 having used 7.0 for the past two years.

I have the same problem. I‘m only in my trial session and already confused 😕 I never used 7.0 before... but 7.1 doesn‘t seem to funcion right. So you just had to wait? It had the same problem 3 days ago 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don‘t know what I should do, it never worked.

I have Squarespace version 7.1, but no “bubble.” It’s so frustrating watching a video where one cannot replicate the very foundational elements required.

Squarespace Made some major backend design management improvements and changes in the last few months and they are continuing to roll out beta design changes. This video is slightly outdated as the bubble has now disappeared. Simply hover over the contact block you want to edit and you should achieve the same result. Thanks for your comment!

Sorry you feel that way! Good news is you can control the speed and location where you start, next time, move to. teh screen share so you don't have to hear be "blather", if you listen to the "blather"... there may be some gems in there.
