I just love Jesse's style of coaching...and having a player perform what he coaches makes it even more easier to understand...It really does ☺

You guys work very well together. Possibly the most I've learnt from any squash video I have watched. Thank you for creating the video!

I’m a racquetball player but I have a huge amount of respect for squash players. With that said, she has discipline. As soon as she hits the shot, she moves back into position.

I'm just amazed about how you precisely feed the ball.

Great video lesson. The key is to give yourself room for the racket to swing along the back wall if possible so it means being turned to almost face the back wall and then trusting your technique to pop the ball up high on the front wall. Its great when you do it and it forces your opponent to scramble back.

What about the shot where you take a long step diagonally back from the T (on either side) and use the momentum to snap the ball straight almost from behind you? That is one of the most common shots at the higher levels but I never see it discussed.

Great vid - thank you. It never ceases to amaze me that professional instructors/players don’t encourage (or even make it mandatory) to wear eye guards. It’s mandatory for juniors but adults seem to think that an errant squash ball to the eye will never happen to them. Time to make a change in this attitude. In this video the instructor looks back at his student. All it takes is one small mis-hit by the student and the coach’s game playing days are over.

health and safety gone potty I'm afraid - having played 30 years I've never received or heard about anybody getting a squash ball in the eye - I mean who stands in front of and facing your opponent on a squash court, you are side on at best.. :-). Getting struck by a racquet is much more likely though.. ..

Cool, as soon as she faced more towards the wall she could return it within the service box

This is a load rubbish, it's a boast especially if you're on the T. The return is so weak it doesn't go anywhere. If you played that return with me, as he catches the ball the point is over.
@emaanahmad4510
@emaanahmad4510 4 года назад
You’re an old man Timothy I don’t think the point would be over 🤣🤣 also the boast might be very weak if someone attempts it when the ball bounces there this shot is defensive not attacking so it’s never gonna be that good
@blackvx
@blackvx 2 года назад
Most opponents would expect a boast and run for your return in the front left before you hit the ball . This rail is so deceptive and will keep your opponent doubting.
