Thanks for the help. I’ve been squatting with horrible form most of my life. I’m surprised my lower back hasn’t given out on me. I know I could squat more than my body weight cause I’ve done it before (with extreme pain). It’s been a little demoralising re-learning the right way cause I’m going really light, but this small tweak in flexing my back more has done numbers for me.

This is exactly my problem. Squat form is good with bodyweight squats but as soon as I put a barbell I feel tightness in my shoulders and start to lean forward. Thanks for this.
Can doing this with an exercise ball be okay? I don't have a large roller but do have an exercise ball and tried it and it seemed to be okay. I could certainly feel the extension in my chest.
