Thanks! Was super amazed a 4th colonial came out of that spot only maybe 15’ square that I’d been over so many times with the stock coil. Seemed to be just the right ground conditions coupled with the unmasking ability of the 6”. Take care and ATB!

Thanks Jim!👍😊 Just the man I needed to discuss this with! Back into the thick of winter now but had a nice reprieve and great dig about a week ago or so. Got a 1918 KG5 dime with the 6” on a 39-40 signal, meaning at edge of depth capability but definitely diggable as it registered stable in both directions. Must have been at about 6” deep or so but after digging it out put it back in the open hole measured at 7” deep and swung the coil over the open hole to test. Absolutely nothing except a -9! Had it on Field 1, sens. 23, recovery 4. Was very surprised as I thought it would have better depth capability than that. Will need to set up a test garden come spring and try to see what’s going on. Thanks!👍😊 Been a great spot for the old colonial coppers! Have also dug a base shard from one of those early 1800’s British amber blackglass alcohol bottles and pretty sure I’ve located where the privy is but can’t explore further being in a park. Tough to say though as bedrock is only a few feet deep in the area. Take care and ATB!

Yep Marty, last September. Good opportunity to use the 6” and 15” on hunted sites to see what else can be squeezed out. Getting a part for the stock to epoxy together so by spring it should be back together good as new. Take care and ATB!
