_from Germany:_ Thank you so much for this honest review. Actually since last week I am looking for one of the last 40th Anniversary Squier Vintage Edition P-Basses here in Germany and today I found your video and also the last "40th Bass" that is available online here in Germany. Subscribed by the way... ;-))
I'm 49 years old and been playing bass for 30 years. I've owned around 50 different basses over the years. Not sure I qualify as young, nor am i a know it all. Thanks for your comment, though..
Great Review! The demo was great and solid. Thx. I just bought the White/Gold Jazz Bass and looks amazin! But the sound of the P Bass is totally insane. I'm thinking look for a change for this model.
I bought mine a year ago (full disclosure, I primarily bought it for its looks), but it has become my number 1. I have basses that literally cost twice as much and are not as half as good playing or tone wise.
M1903? and Bass guitars. similar to my "decor". Is this a good first bass guitar? Or the slightly cheaper one with Jazz and Precision pickups? or the Paranormal Rascal HH(which Im drawn to).
On the 29th I will also receive a Squier 40th Precision Bass MN Vintage Edition Satin Vintage Blonde. I put it next to the Fender Player P-Bass Silver and the Fender Americanan Professional II Jazz Bass Black that I already have. I really like Squier's 40th series and I hope it respects the quality so praised by many. How did you find it? What impressions did she make on you? Thanks
Is this the counter part to the jazz in the back? I have that bass and absolutely love itlove it, it’s got a beastly tone and doesn’t sound like any other jazz I’ve played
A few things the body is slightly smaller, also if you play this bass slot you’ll be burning through the frets quickly. Put a high mass bridge and slightly better tuners and you’ll have something to gig with, without crying if someone bucks your instrument
The frets should last just as long as other ones, no? Or do you know what the fretwire is made out of for Squier or Fender Mexico or Fender USA basses?
