These are the most common totes available in the agricultural department. These are worldwide everywhere you could acquire them, semi broken from various farms or maybe you have a plethora of them that you’re not using during the winter time
These help the seeds finish, cold, stratification germination through autumn and winter so you can plant your nuts in individual pots in spring early spring
If you live in a windy area, you might have to put a concrete block on top, but mine are nestled safely and a protective area
Check on them at least every two weeks. Make sure everything‘s OK.
I also didn’t put the nuts in there randomly I stood them up with the point at the top so when they sprout, it’s a direct shoot all the way up
The nuts are very fragile when they are young germinating you have to be very careful not to break the tip off when you are transplanting and much larger pots, the larger the pot that you put it in the faster and larger. The tree is going to produce to the maximum height that you want to be.
But if you put it in 1 gallon pots, which is my smallest, it will produce a very decent size in a year a couple feet tall is what my apple and pears give me
I am not a professional nut grower. This is the first time I’ve ever planted this many nuts in my life.
Approximately 30,000 nuts, I planted this year from February to November
