Bro, i felt ok with super sonic, it was fun but oh my god, dark sonic was balling, its hard to get in small stages but hella op, i can imagine semi-dark/dark sonic users distroying the pvp servers LMAO
I love how dynamic and fresh X Sonic looks, and ngl i just wanted to use the spindash to hear that synth ahh music but i think it's a bit too fast or powerful for me
Best. Mod. EVER. Oh my god where do I begin? Okay, I think he moves way to fast and is slippery but.. holy shit, dark sonic is fun to play. A good sacrifice is a good reward.
I like the ring boost system where it basically makes you fly, adds more use to the rings. Frontiers is on the right track using the rings since to get a power boost. But looking back at it that might have been a sub in for supersonic in the open zone.
Unlocking Dark Sonic is a pretty complex process. In an act, opening the scoreboard, you may notice an icon on the right side of the screen, a Planet Egg. That Planet Egg can be found somewhere in the act; at the location of a random monitor, star post or emblem. Once you find it, you have to make a sacrifice to it; this can be lives, points, rings, a shield, continues or emerald tokens; the exact sacrifice needed is determined at the start of the act. Once you've made that sacrifice, Sonic will acquire a blackened chaos emerald separate from the main seven. Get all seven of those and Dark Sonic will become available from the Context Menu (C3 while standing still), as the second option (between Super Sonic and the Options menu), which requires you to hold Spin and have 50 rings.
And to become the true Super Dark Sonic, Just try to strike ennemis (a good technique is to spam the spin button) until Dark Sonic have a Aura and after that : Press Jump and Spin
@@tomunlucky The Jump+Spin thing doesn't really work like that. He'll transform automatically as you do damage; the screen will generally pulse when he's about to descend deeper into darkness (You'll notice the visual effects grow more intense as you do more overall damage).
*(reposting my review from the SRB2 MB, if you find it helpful, please upvote there so that the constructive criticism gets noticed! sort reviews by most helpful, mine should be at or near the top)* "Beautiful sprites and personality, however, he seems to be designed solely for speedrunning memorized routes and that's about it. He's Super Mystic Sonic but with somehow less movement control. Unless you're cracked on addy you're just gonna fly into walls and off the map. Also you pretty much have to change characters if it's a water level and you're not just skipping all the water parts. He's annoyingly useless in any amount of water which is unfortunate, though a funny nod to Sonic X. I'd hoped he'd be more flexible so that normal players could enjoy him too. I love the design and his easter eggs and even the bloodlust mechanic but overall he's just a less intuitive SMS and is meant to skip 90% of the level. If you actually want to play the game and go through the levels he's just not granular enough in his movement. You're either going incredibly slow or incredibly fast. At least SMS had ways to stop movement like the ground slam. I still think X Sonic is really cool and artistically awesome. If they either add a more granular mode to him where he has more control or expand on his movement abilities to allow actual methodical gameplay instead of just memorizing and practicing jumps and angles like it's CS, he'd be excellent. I can appreciate and understand skillful usage of movement to beat the level quickly, and expect a lot of "git gud lol," but that is such a specific playstyle catered to only veterans who wanna beat the levels in as short a time as possible. I was just never an SMS "beat each level in under 20 seconds" kinda player, so it sucks that that gives me a lot less to look forward to as a result. Let me know if I'm missing anything, cheers!"
if you hold shift as you're about to land from a jump, you will curl up. there's also the taunt stance where if you hold shift then jump, you will do a very weak spindash
@@GameMasterARTActually, I was just making fun of them for trying to come across as superior over... just a tutorial? Seriously? You got nothing better to do? But, also yeah, you're right
