Dhruv, the 5 year old boy singing this hymn, addresses his hymn directly to the Lord face to face. He has no doubts on which to base his belief or faith. His knowledge leads him to pure adoration of the Lord. Dhruv's stuti is not about faith or belief or even trust, but his own knowledge as experienced by him, as taught to him by the Lord. This hymn (stuti) maybe likened to a dam breaking and the waters bursting forth, unrestrained by any force except its own.
Dhruv, the 5-year old child singer of the hymn, is equipped with an unshakeable resolve that leads him to and through a severe but successful penance. The results of his penance are many, one of them being this hymn.
Bewildered by the audience granted to him by the Lord, Dhruv wishes to hymn the Lord but does not know how. The Lord grants him all that Dhruv needs by touching Dhruv's cheek with the divine conch. The dam breaks. Out pours a magnificent hymn.

Although the traditional version uses verses 6-17 of the 9th chapter of the 4th section of the Srimad Bhagavatam, this video has additional verses before and after the hymn. It begins with verses 2-5 of the same chapter, before the hymn: a description of the scene immediately preceeding the hymn. It ends with verses 18-19 of the same chapter: a description of the scene immediately after the hymn, wherein the Lord states that Dhruv's unstated wish lying in his heart will be fulfilled.

This is the only complete English translation of the Srimad Bhagavatam available on the web; the monumental effort by Swami Bhaktivedanta was finished by his disciples who translated the last 2.5 sections (skandas).
The verse before the hymn (4.9.5) mentions that Dhruv, on being touched by the divine conch by the Lord, realized the message, the full import of the Vedas without any haste or short-cuts. Hence, the content of the hymn is to be given the same respect as of any other sage, even though the composer is just 5 years old. Verses 15-17 are each so powerful, vast, deep and complete that they can by themselves become aids in daily meditation.
As compared to Kunti stuti, Bhishma stuti and Prahlada stuti, Dhruv's stuti is completely devoid of references to personal interactions with the Lord. While Bhishma' stuti was about death (rather eternal life), Dhruv's stuti is about the source of life, as he states in the first verse of the hymn itself.
Kunti and Bhishma mention bewilderment in their hymns. Dhruv's hymn, on the other hand, is devoid of bewilderment in any manner and has a strong sense of wonder at having realized knowledge, experienced knowledge first-hand.
The wonder at that discovery/full-realization and the subsequent ones is almost lost in the depth, the vastness and the completeness of Dhruv's verses. However, even a cursory reading of the original verses in Sanskrit will convey that sense of amazement and the conviction of Dhruv's knowledge.
