Anura Kumara Dissanayake has won the Sri Lankan presidential election. Dissanayake will be the 9th Executive President Of Sri Lanka. The Marxist leader will succeed incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe. According to the Sri Lankan Election Commission, Dissanayake won with 42.31 per cent votes.

It's nothing to afraid about and like you've said it is demonized by Western war mongers for their own gains. Yes its not an easy way forward with the current economic situation in the country and with people who don't like this outcome but we have a hope that he will be different and rebuild Sri Lanka.
