Your methods are different, but the expected result remains the same. In the case of NPP/JVP it means total control over society. Don’t make false allegations about civil conflict in 1988&89, please learn and research first before making any allegations. I am sri lankan hwo lives in sri lanka and this report is falls. 1980 to 1987 blood bath was done by government of that time. In that time india was with ussr and sri lankan government was with usa, thats why india supported LTTE (giving arms and training ) jvp was against that government.government killed tamil people promoting sinhala nationalist groups and blaming jvp was doing that and suspended the party, after suspending the party they had no democratic right so uprising against jr's government was happened and that government killed 60000 jvp supporters, most of thems were university students.

It's funny how the Indian media is trying to show the world that they know more about Sri Lankan political history (the 70s and 80s) than Sri Lankans themselves. As Sri Lankans, we all know how the UNP government (including Ranil) murdered innocent young people who rebelled for justice. India is always trying to assert its power in the South Asian region, expecting us to follow their rules. Even in the past, the UNP government agreed to the Indo-Sri Lankan Accord (1987) without considering the people's objections. This is why they favor having Ranil as president. Be wise, Sri Lankans!

Fully disagree with what this is trying to portrait. IMF does not deal with individuals like RW or SP. It's the elected government that negotiates. This documentary is good for someone born after 2022. People who are responsible for the financial mess includes first two candidates in this race and this video. Ultimately it's people who decide who is best for the future of the country not the neighbours.
