Thanks for your helpful advice. We have booked Sri Lanka & the Maldives! I thought it was too hard to book it myself, but your video encouraged me so I've done it without any travel agent ( I got insurance promptly). I worked with a charity 2 years ago and we had a mosque and school built in Trincomalee, so I want to visit to see it in person. Did you have to have any vaccinations? The Government website advises going to your GP, but I don't fancy my chances at getting an appointment.
I have to be honest I’m not sure on jabs - I had all the ‘standard’ jabs in prep for Thailand about 8yrs ago and haven’t checked when travelling since but if you’ve had the key ones like rabies etc I think you’ll be fine. Have an amazing time!

Hey there. We didn’t use any tour guides we researched and booked it all independently. We mainly used Agoda for hotel bookings and then we found our driver through the Sri Lanka travel Facebook group. Usually when you get a driver (which you could order to pick you up by your first hotel), they’ll give you there card, and if you like them you can reach out through WhatsApp. Have a great holiday!! 💙🙏
Hey man, great video, I am planning to go to both countries in November? For Sri Lanka, what would u recommend for a shorter trip maybe like 7 nights? I have travelled similar to yours before but we are looking more to maybe visiting maybe 3 places in Sri Lanka, before flying to maldives. What 3 places in 7 nights would you recommend!?
Hey Thank you for your comment - if I were going back for 7 days I would visit Galle Fort, Kandy and then perhaps one of the costal (beach) destinations. However if you are looking for more ‘experiences’, I’d try and fit in a visit to a national Park to do a Safari too (perhaps instead of Kandy). Have a great trip
