For anyone interested, 1st and 2nd class reserved is actually reserved. As a Sri Lankan I honestly try to get 2nd class reserved for long journeys and 3rd class for short journeys.

You pack a lot of valuable information into each video. I can tell you put many hours of work into making your videos. I have traveled around Sri Lanka for 6 months, half of what you said in this guide is NOT TRUE, may be that was your experience. Most Hotels are listed on Booking dot com so you can get a better deal if you use it. 80% of the hotels i went to got fastest internet 3 - 20 mbps connection even in $5 hostels Sri Lanka has multiple weather zones, when Colombo is 38 C you can travel 3 hours to Nuwaraeliya and you will be in 10 -20 C Climate

Sri Lanka is one of the top 5 countries I wanna visit! Was planning for this winter but, with the recent anti-muslim unrest, I may wait awhile as I do wear a head scarf and don't want to end up in a risky situation. Thanks for yet another incredible video!
Trust me there is no any kind of discrimination against Muslims in Sri Lanka as some Western media portrait! The country has banned full face coverings like burqa for security purposes and it has nothing to do with discrimination of Muslims.if you are wearing a head scarf and it does not cover your entire face,you will have no problem at all!
Great video guys, very informative. Went to Sri Lanka earlier this year and traveled the South and West coasts, loved the people, food and local transport to get around. Planning our next visit to checkout the east coast next June. Happy traveling.

We are very adventurous and ambitious travellers when we get away from our 9-5 but are looking for ways to go on adventurous holidays with a baby. Any advise? Thanks!
Hi Guys, great video, I have a question, when travelling, what do you do to keep your video footage safe? Do you just take good care of the SD cards until you get back home or do you have a ways to back them up while abroad, I send my GoPro footage from my micro SD cards to my GoPro account in the cloud via my iPhone but it takes forever, I just wondered if you know of a better option, many thanks.
I just landed in SL and got my visa on the spot for 30 bucks. Then got a four month extension at the immigration office for $100. I'm told they are abolishing this fee for Americans. We'll see. This is SL. :)
Guys, I've been living in Kandy for four months. Since the terrorist attacks. Everything has been DEAD. I pay $230 for a two bedroom house in the hills in the hills including internet. I have used none of your apps. Couch-surfing sucks here, but people I met through CS at least gave me tips and information to find my house. Trains are cheap. So are buses, but some can be terribly uncomfortable. My five month visa is running out so I'm going to Vietnam and Cambodia. I liked your food tour video with Vu so I contacted him. Couch-surfing seems to be better in Vietnam. Sri Lanka even before the terrorist attacks was at the bottom of the list in number of tourists coming which is weird considering how much Sri Lanka has to offer. Even little Maldives beat SL this year. I even got a private tour in Colombo of Arthur C. Clarke's house. The great scifi writer who lived here. I'm not really a tourist. But Adam's Peak has been the highlight of my trip here so far. No crowds. DEAD because of the troubles here. Going to the Buddhist cities next week and Jaffna. Lot's of scams in SL and it start's with the government. I have seen the good and the bad in SL. I live here. Trust me there's a lot of problems here, but the people for the most part are okay. M
Nice, long and informative video but at the end you finished it with "wait for the next country, it is going to be a good one". Feels like you did not like it there very much. There are many more things you could mention positive, which you clearly missed. Thanks for visiting anyway guys.
