In the 80s sri lanka used to be playing in the Hong kong 7s,,, used to enjoyed their team thn since they are one of the entertaining team back than,,, salute sri lanka
Japan played with 8 players including the ref. At 19.20, it was Japan's player who knocked it forward not SL player and ref not only halted the play but he gave a life line to Japan by awarding a penalty also. Such a shame in a close encounter.
Sri Lanka need 3 tall fast heavy players to create gaps for those extremely fast players. Because they lack those 3 strong players, they missed out so many winning opportunities for decades.
Wow! I thought this is going to be an easy game for Japan. Well played Sri Lanka. That was a knock on by Japan at the end but the ref didnt see I guess
@@namalbionface9306 srilanka is a poor country, if they are poor country then they can't be good in anything whether it is sport's, technology or anything
@@kunalnagarkoti4409 Sri lanka was declared a non poor country last month, they won the cricket world cup in 1996 (2nd most popular sport in the world) and qualified for the common wealth games (rugby) last year and competed against fiji, wales, nambia and is supported by new zeland ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T9q9Q_KKUfk.html look at the comment section They also have a high variety of gems and are 4th in the world for best tea
@@namalbionface9306 I believe in Sri Lanka. They have to play a quick style where they test the fitness levels of their opponents. I love the pace of the team and I do think they can go well in rugby sevens.
Well done Sri lanka. Good fight against the one of the top nation in rugby. Hope japan will help Sl to improve rugby more by giving some 7 s tournaments or at-least come to SL when SL invite .
@@user-ec3pf9rq3h culture...? What,? 😂 then why not hire a whole team of Argentina for Japan to take soccer world cup next time, don't you guys have balls to fight by your own self.?
Congratulations Japan , unlucky Sri Lanka only the conversion in it. I can see Sri Lanka being a power house in the Asia conference if they keep developing their game and players.
@15:58 Sri Lanka No. 10 should have done a back pass to No. 09 and lock down both defenders to create space for No. 09. Need more tactical training between No. 10 and 09.
Great Run and try by No.2 @ 2:37 and No.08 @ 8:06 : No. 06 and No. 01 should have used the space on the left to stretch and create space for back-pass maneuver @ 15:04
Sri Lankan too many hot heads and lack self confidence especially No. 10. That side step unnecessary lost momentum and straight into defender @17:19. That was a straight forward try opportunity. Sri Lanka should not go for many tricks when it comes to less than 7 m to score a try. Learn from Japan how to side step when attacked like in 9:34 to 9:40
Japan is not good.It is not international level playing. Too much funbles. Multinational team like Japan have to protect disciplines(defence system, offence options, set play and so on) Now Japan members don't look at same winning vision.
