Thanks for uploading this video. Main problem of Sri lankan rugby is , It's rucking does not funtion correctly. It is not a causes of Sri lankan players body index, but it is a problem of basic skills, which are not given priority in its domestic game.
It is very easy for Sri Lanka to become one of the best 7s teams in the world if billions of rupees spent on Cricket is invested into building physicality and strengths of both 15s and 7s rugby players. Cricketers in Sri Lanka are highly privileged with facilities while they under perform all the time. Also cricket is a time wasting game Sri Lankans should move away from it without wasting time. Real men value time. With a more stronger internal competition with foreigners and with improved physicality of younger local players, SL can become one of the best 7s teams in the world and be in the top 2 in Asian rugby meaning potential t be qualified to a rugby world cup if the above 2 I mentioned is addressed. Sri Lanka rugby administrators have no vision to grow the sport. Especially the schools rugby union is extremely corrupt and biased.
That's not entirely true. Only this game he missed a couple. He is the physically strongest player in the side and highest number of 7s tackles were made by him. We need more physically stronger players with intelligence like him.
bcause Sl players are afraid to get injuries and they will lose contracts with clubs because playing the national team doesn't pay them. So they don't tackle hard.
As a sri lankan I am keenly waiting to see fijian first XV side winning a world cup title. With bit more effort & bit more hard work you guys will be unstoppable.
