I’ve been working hard to get pairs of pimbura, molurus and progschai to try to create a steady source of those pure species/localities in the US. What I’ve found thus far is that the molurus/pimbura breeders gatekeep hard. Even mentioning the possibility of available offspring (after all the clutches they’ve been holding grow up) years in advance will get you ignored. At least for the last several years it’s felt like a completely unattainable goal for me, but I have the rest of my life to try.
I remember in the mid 90's those were produced yearly and cost 700 a pair. You could even find Indian pythons and Lesser African rocks for a bit less. Dunn's pythons were around and affordable and pretty Mollucan pythons were common and cheap. All sorts of awesome looking scrub locales could be had like 150 bucks.
Hi Eric. Try looking to Europe for ‘pimbura’ for your collection. There are quite a few breeders out there as in the 80’s many were imported. And also into the UK.
