We review the recent iron entry from Srixon in the distance category. The ZX4 is a hollow body iron that produces some top distance. Even when combined with the Nippon 950 GH Neo. Check out the results and who this will fit.

ZX4 for 3 and 4 irons. ZX5 for 5 and 6 irons. ZX7 for 7-PW would be a combo set i'd like to try.

Really interested in using the 5i as a 4i combod with my ZX5 5/6i. Low CG for a higher ball flight. Plus weakening it to be gapped with my already weakened ZX5s would take a touch of offset away. Hmmmm

I have them and 6 is 37.7, 7 iron is 37

The specs on the website show the 6 iron at 37.5” length. Do you think the set you got was plus 1/2” and that would explain the heavier swingweight? I always loved Srixon irons and have been waiting for them to create a hollow body set. Thanks for the great review.

srixon web site says 37.5. where do you find 38? is yours an odd one out or ? btw, you are right about that shaft. fantastic shaft for mid-speed swings.

I hope that it is mine came out to 38 and I checked my H models which were all shorter. however the RH models were dead one

Just seen new pics released of the new zx4 and they have improved dramatically aesthetics wise, curious to know when you will have them available for fittings ?

I picked up a ZX4 4 and flatten the lie to make up for that pesky extra 1/2". All of the ZXs are plus 1/2". The cast textured cavity bugs me too, but I think I'm over it!? The Neo has a softer butt, but a stiffer mid and tip than the 950GH. Nice to see it can keep up with the Modus 105s, 'cause that's what I have. Can't wait to get it out:) Good review, thanks.

I think their swing weights are based on midsize grips these days. I think midsize grips are an ego thing these days.. they really shit the bed with the naming. I mean "standard" and "mid" really mean the same thing and I notice a lot of people order 'mid size' because they have average/medium(mid) hands. But they should be running standard grips... Anyway, that digression was a long way of saying that midsize grips are being used on more clubs these days than standard size grips.

Great video . I am 62 years old and a single digit handicap. After a fitting testing the 5 I tried the 4 and could not put it down. It gives me the extra carry I have lost in the last 5 years. The 4’s are on order😎

Great review playing the Z155 irons so might look at these did have the Cleveland HB launcher great irons but got too much spin so lost distance.

Hi Jim, is that a hole in the toe of the club and if so, wouldn't that be prone to water ingress causing damage and weight issues?

That's not a six iron with a 25.5 degree loft. That's the old 4 iron loft. LMAO. Hey, I have an idea. The manufacturer should stamp PW on that 25.5 degree club. 206 yards with a wedge! Wow!! Seriously, can we ALL JUST AGREE in future reviews to throw the stamped number out the window, and just use the freaking loft degree for a little apples to apples comparison?

No wonder Crossfield was carrying this 6 iron 205 yards. The club manufacturers stroking our egos. And I thought my current lofts were strong on my Mizuno MP-55's with the 6 iron at 28 degrees.

The golf club industry is in a tech war some real and some fantasy. Using loft jacking and longer clubs to push the fitting experience with a lowly 7iron for that one long shot out of 20 they know the customer will say "sold". Wait till they are on the course, and can't control, shape or stop a ball on the green. But hey..... they will be there next year to "improve" the model you just gamed! Go for a good fitting, consistent numbers, dispersion, forgiveness for your level and finally stop kidding yourself that you can buy single digit handicap.
