I have a echo srm-230 I just bought it from the pawnshop it already had gas I used at my house and it ran out so I bought a echo premixed red armor fuel pour some in the weed eater works fine but when it idles it turns off but it works great any idea thanks
Hey I'm late here but when you pull the trigger look at the top of the carberetor and see what happens when you pull the trigger, there is a screw that you screw in and it pushes the idle position forward and fixes rhat.
Not very informative. Stick to and focus on whatever issue you are addressing . I wanted to know how to adjust the carburetor as the description stated. Too much chatter before and the focus problems are unacceptable.
i have a newer srm 230 orange case its probably 3 years old. mine will burn my arm when i run it for long periods, can i adjust the fast idle jet to richen it up alittle bit o it runs cooler or no? i run the 50:1 fuel premix in the cans that is non ethanol.
oh well i tried, i though about putting some aluminum foil under the plastic to see if that would help, it gets uncomfortable and the only thing i dont like about the weedeater.
Charles Howard I wouldn't recommend doing that. That just seems to be the way they are nowadays unfortunately. The tractor inner tube recommendation is a good idea
Mine burns the shit out of my arms too! Lol. I wear a nike sweat arm band in between my forearm and elbow. that way it rests on the band and not my arm. Hope that helps ya out.
Between $89-115 bucks plus shipping for OEM....LEARN TO CLEAN EM , OTHERWISE DEPENDING ON CONDITION REPLACE IT. ebay carbs work some times assuming they send the right one and you dont have to modify or make mixture adjustments. I own a small engine shop and as a business i cant use inferior or cheap parts because i cant guarantee the quality or warranty it
What is the difference between the pe 200 and the pe 2000 edgers from echo? I'm considering purchasing one of the 2 from Craigslist just to use every once in a while for properties with a lot of sidewalk and driveway because I usually edge with my trimmer.
Flash Lawn Service honestly they're basically the same machine just a different model number. I'd go with the pe200 just because it'll be slightly newer, so it might last a bit longer and not have as much wear on it
please quit getting distracted w/ ur garbage truck and all the shop tours and get to ur point..had to endure 3/4s if ur rambling to learn the idle & other screws.
