SRRS Rock Bouncer Racing hits the Rocks of Hawk Pride

On Rock Rods episode 117 we are putting the rock back in rock bouncing with Southern Rock Racing Series 2021 at Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad Park in Tuscumbia, Alabama. They have two rocky hills. The first one is the old bounty hill that they made a touch easier to keep things interesting and then they have to send it up a rocky maverick trail. Suspension and line choice will make all the difference for these rock bouncers today. See who comes out on top, it might just surprise you this time!

On hill one did you notice how he kept the buggy from jumping on the second to last jump? Front left wheel hit that little hump and kept the buggy planted 10:48 He’s the fastest because he notices things no one else does.

You hit the nail on the head at 12:30. I find myself getting less interested due to how I “assume” the promoters are steering the sport. It was exciting in the past to see obstacles that the competitors had to struggle and not all made it. Now it’s how fast can they navigate an obstacle course that’s usually a maze that has very little semblance to old school rock bouncing.

Looks like TC pre compressed the front suspension going up left side of the biggest hill to eliminate jumping which kept him on the ground making a faster run
