They are all getting totaled and parted out sadly now ...20 year old cars ...buying one your getting a molested and beat to shit car ... I had 3 of them miss them
Been an Issue since these cars came out if y'all knew anything about these cars ...not to mention there are 9 second srt4 out there I have seen personally running stock axles ... And I've seen full bolt on srt break 500 hp axles ...not to mention an extremely sticky track...
@@a-animal1206 Its all about the suspension, engine mount setup and the delivery of power to the wheels, we know about it but we are also poor bastards, however I have yet to break axles. Once I ran slicks and the shock messed up one of the axle inside bearings but I had an 18 yo intermediate shaft that had some play, also the suspension was stock at the time which is horrible for slicks.

Where I live, finding an SRT-4 isn’t that hard, finding one for a non-stupid price is another story LOL And good luck finding a 1st Gen Neon, you’ll have to wait until some old person dies LMAO I’ve had 4 Neon’s in my past, an LE and 3 R/T’s (one was SRT swapped), loved them to death, but they had little to none for Aftermarket Support for the few weak points….mix that with only 3 Engine Options over the course of 10yrs and sadly these cars were destined to completely die off. Glad to see the USA still has a lot of them running and looking good, I’ve been out of the “Neon Game” for at least 8yrs…..would love to get my hands on an ACR Sedan in NYG 👌🏻
@@JPort561 If it’s a bone stock 05 ACR with 20k Miles in pristine condition from the original owner, maybe 🤷🏼♂️ I work for FCA, I know that most factory parts for these cars are impossible to get at this point, damn near everything is discontinued and out of stock…..for me that’s a tough sell knowing I won’t be able to repair it with factory parts in 5yrs if anything goes wrong.
I know this is old but at the 5:58 mark i got to help with that blue srt car in the beginning stages, the plaque is of a very good friend of mine who passed away Andrew Chinsue think I spelled his last name right. Owners Marlin and Michelle very good people, son was super smart, we all loved cars and worked together, he passed away almost 18-20yrs back now. i remember the call and going to the scene hit and run. dad kept the wrecked, bought another srt in the color his son wanted and built the motor from his sons and swapped it then built the rest of the car.

I have a 2004 srt4 and honestly the guy who owned before me treated it like shit. It's a work in progress and is in better hands now. I've been replacing parts since I bought it and it amazes me at how ungrateful and unappreciative people can be with ther cars.
Same. I’m actually replacing parts in mine. At this moment it’s on jack stands till tomorrow because it got dark, replacing the whole suspension in the front
@@jmemixx Sadly, I had to sell it. It became way to expensive to continue to work on and the person that bought it blew out the bottom end a week after buying it from me
common peeps instead of a LIME green custom paint atleast buy yourselves the Cheaper DSS (DriveShaftShop) axles seriously first thing I baught back in 2006 after breaking 9 axles in 2 years I baught the Bigger ones Rated for 700hp never broke one again andf I still have the 17 year old car with 80,000 Miles but pushing 526WHP now and also Bone Stock up here in Canada I did a 12.7s 1/4 I dunno where you guys are racing maybe your altitude is higher i dunno but 12.7s no slicks stock in 2004 I had the Mopar bOV thats all with the stock BfGoodrich KDWs
