Love the sound of that single 600! Im undecided between one of these in Black or a Honda CB400 SuperFour for a first bike. I love the retro look of these better, and it looks like a lot of fun! Great video, thanks mate!
What are the little black boxes hanging on the left mirror for? It has me most puzzled. These little SRX sound better at 60 than tickover! Might be good and light for this old man to manage??
Didn’t get the Zen vibe until you put on your leather jacket - sooo risky Greg to ride without some protection. Nice ride though and some interesting vehicles on the roads.
thanks, for your concern, Mark, I realize you speak from relatively recent experience... and I am also on 20 plus year old tires... though without cracks... So I took it easy on corners ... Edited out, are the parts where I am slowly following a line of cars. There were some constructions on the road, which were regulated by a light (single lane) which allowed me to not only move to the front of the line, but to ride with a free open road for a good stretch ahead.
No problem Greg - due to the recent, and unusual, heatwave in the UK I've taken to wearing motorcross body armour over a vest - the protection is there at all the main areas but the armour is attached by netting that allows you to cool
Nice machines. Do they ride like the SR400s? Or a bit more sporty in handling and performance I'm guessing? How's the vibrations on those big thumpers?
compared to the SR, there is a counter weight that reduces the vibrations a lot. Handling in corners is likely better but I have not ridden an SR much so... can't really say.
The silver ones are definitely faster! Nearly bought one of these a few years ago. Took it for a test ride then deliberately stalled it to see if it would easily restart when hot. Neither myself nor the owner could get it running again. These bikes seemed to be ok though.
well, it used to be red... till I painted it silver... the original concept was for domestic Japanese market, and it was mostly in silver... with some black... and dark blue... but in the USA, they were all red, only imported in 1986 only.
