Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human-created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

I have pondered about the question "IF the game were to be remade, which kind of graphics update would be best? Isometric or 3D first person?" Better graphics (more pixels) would allow for more items to manipulate ... but the "charm" of the game comes from the people playing and the mayhem that ensues. IF it was a 3D version ... you could easily make weekly "TV action/comedy" episodes with it (but you'd need a "full data recording" so you can film it wherever the most fun happens). There is obviously the danger of watering down / changing the concept with such a change, so I dont think either would be a perfect solution.

Regarding cold-blooded people in the workplace...XCom Chimera Squad is set a few years after the alien war, with the remaining aliens (the fully sapient ones at least) now integrating into human society. And one of those alien types is Vipers, basically snake people. The maps have lots of fun details to zoom in on, like ad posters for Viper fashion or egg incubators and basking rocks in offices or homes.

I was the secoff ticketing the lawyer next to the Cargo desk. I'll be honest I had no idea Checkers was above me yelling BS I was just trying to clear the contraband flag, and there were many that round. OHH it was the vampire round, that was a wild round.

hey man I was in this round was one of the qm's and well I literal in general comms started the cargoina theme and it was like .... if your a kid and your favorite mascot or badass just walks into your work place and is just yweah I am here now I was just having a blast man , seriously thank you fellow spessman for introducting me to battletech+ than ss13 and well now the circle is now made the full rotation may I see you next shift good sir and may your profits be worthy of trying to keep with cagonia's only profit margin and that is sky high

@@theeatherlash69 Skirmishers that wear down defenders and survive are effective skirmishers. You don't have to even kill pilots, just inflict damage on things that are very costly to repair.

I remember this round but never realized it became an actual episode. I was the cyborg in the firesuit. Playing around with the loafer was kind of my ADHD fixation at the time, but the best part was always seeing other people play off the dumb things I made. Sadly, I think I ran out of time in my mission to fully loaf the loaves, but you and the other cargo guys made the round memorable.

Checkers comes out of QM retirement. Station slowly unravels. Emergency shuttle a death trap of fire and vampires. All in a day's work apparently :) I really need to get over my fear of looking stupid and go play this game where the point appears to be, be gloriously stupid :)

so did anyone in the microscopic ingame chat ever say what a Ling is? saw someone ask and someone else say they had no idea but it's in the song. I've seen the vod where Mr Checkers typed those lyrics into chat and it was definitely "Ling."
