On a low pop server as HoP I moved the entirety of my office to the bar. While this did mean someone could give themselves AA by simply hopping the bar, it did mean I could serve drinks.
It was still semi secure though cause I configured all the relevant doors to only HoP and cap access and a seccie who was understandably worried about what I was doing stood guard at the bar if not occupied elsewhere.
There are two types of SS14 players. Me (and others like me) who spend 5 minutes looking at the station map while having their PDA stolen, and players like you who not only dodged the explosion but immediately switched into combat mode in order to take out the (correctly identified) aggressor. That was beautiful.
Let attention be drawn to HoP's diligence in keeping their window open for just as long as strictly needed. This is a prime example for HoPs everywhere on how to work your station, while minimizing risk to your person.
i was that cargo tech that just walked out and screamed as the grenade went off, i was at the edge of the radius and still got oneshot. holy hand grenades dont fuck around that was also the shift where the latejoin cargo tech came and spent ~40k spesos on action figures and i shortly after got posthumously accused of blowing up a secoff as i was trying to save him from a hot potato bomb what a round
i was cap for the first time that shift (kingston garratt) and i still don't know why he decided to do that lol (ian was crit but somehow still alive at the end)
I remeber being hop, man I was bad, centcom was not a fan of what I was doing, arresting the captain didn't help. How I didn't get rolebanned is beyond me.
