That reminds me of my first experience with a loko can. Very thirsty, drinks the two last drinks left in the dispenser, reads the back of the cans, fall gasping on the ground. Also thanks for letting us know about the battery chemical. Now i'm gonna grind everything down to see if I can find some other magic liquid.
Spears holding chemicals reminds me of how in SS13 in some codebases you could smith weapons and some of them allows you to make "reagent blades" which are capable of injecting a chemical on hit! Those blades however do not require you to re-coat it in the chemical of your choice, people would make really weak swords with healing chems, so I'd say the SS14 version of that feature is definitely more balanced.
I remember going through the vending machine about 5 minutes into a round and wanting to try one of the cans at the bottom of the list. I think I ended up with yellow health. I now mix 14 Loko whenever a leaf lover asks my dorf barkeeper for anything non-alcoholic.
@@Liltenhead just goes too show that no matter how much you think you know the mechanics things like this can be hidden so super glad you made this one nice work
i already see me and the boyz from botany making spear army, 4 people with 3 spears each, and then making rain of spears on a single nukie. Easy math 10 damage from thrown spear * 12 spears = 120 damage = nukie in crit even if 2 spears missed
IMO spears need to have a bit more reach. Not too much, just enough to reward Those who practice with them. Like an extra 0.5 tiles away. Besides that, you mentioned hitting green isn't particularly useful, what if it caused a bleed? Maybe a small temporary one or a percentage chance to bleed?
so compared to ss13, the regents mechanic for spears is new. and dear lord if i had that in tg i would glass golem toxin stab you, and do triple the damage and shatter your remains. i do hope xenobio doesn't have as much silly chems in ss14 as it predecessor. because botany tends to be able to roll those chems too, if you know how make plants act funky.
