Imagine playing cyborg and knowing that anyone at anytime can go up to a console and ruin your shift.

Law 3, break or hide the console every game.

This feels like a bad addition IMO. I dont think giving players an "insta kill" option on any other player (borg or not) is a good idea. Especially since its a one press detection to find emagged borgs. It totally bypasses the lock that borgs have on themselves and removes any chance of bluffing your way out of people learning you are emagged.

Imagine having your body blow up and kill several different people just because one scientist misclicked a button

Finally: the violent tension between two station AIs holding the switch to each other's APCs is now available to every borg.

Admins will have lots of Ahelps to deal with i am sure of it :D

I assume disabled not graying out is a bug/oversight, as any scientist would first go for disabling instead of destroying, it just makes more sense RP wise, even if you don't suspect the borg being hacked. Thus it's weird that destroying sends a fake message and removes you from the console, but disabling pretty much reveals you being hacked

Man. I don’t exactly hate it but as a Borg player it’s frustrating we got this before being able to choose our own chassis for round start Borgs. Either way this is gonna be annoying especially since most of the time science just ignores Borgs anyway and doesn’t care about making sure they’re upgraded or get new chassis. I feel like Roboticist should be added as a crew role at this point.

Would be funny if theres a random law that states something along the lines of destroying other cyborgs to become the sole king of borgs.

If it doesn't work on e-magged bots I honestly don't see the point of it. Any bot you would want to use this on should just be A-helped anyway. Ion laws are almost always harmless.

I still dont like the idea that when a you are a Cyborg, meaning you are suppose to have rights but then also beholden to rules that make you into a slave and now a slave with an exploding collar essentially. Its kinda a shit deal. And still no hands.

I think the “disable tells if it’s emagged” is unintended Definitely gonna have growing pains

I know this was a feature existent in SS13 previously and it was never abused that badly, but it might not be such a good idea

i think it is usless only asbomb borg and that feels wrong...but i think it would be cool if you could change laws on borgs. even to just fix em or add cool ones. and some rules like rule1 couldnt be chnaged

Im sure that button not disabling when emaged will be fixed soon because if not it would single handedly invalidate emaging borgs as a strat. And that would suck.

The weak non-borg nerds are out in mass with opinions before playtesting while the chad borglife appreciators are relaxed with the upcoming increased control over one's existence.

Yeah that button needs to gray out when you try to disable a cyborg because it's just gonna be abused

Isn't this console's existence a violation of law 3? Would it not be prudent for law abiding borgs to remove threats to themselves? Would it not he even more prudent of law noncompliant borgs to destroy this liability.

I hope they fix the emag disable thing, should probably see a lot more use once MALFs become a thing I bet

Man, I sure do love being able to have my round ended within a matter of moments because someone got salty and clicks one button and then refuses to build a new frame because they don't understand how to not be a terrible person.

This makes emmaging cyborgs useless. I think it should be removed , as it removes fun from playing a borg or a traitor.

Seems a bit absurd. The robots dont even explode that much when destroyed manually.

This is infact a shit pr a complete opposite of the ghost raffle role pr. There so many fuckin flaw. Here some suggestions: REMOVE THE INSTA KILL BUTTON. Second, Make the console "Reset All Law" on the borg. This make ion storm somewhat forgiveable with not needing to build another shell. Then the emag could like it would say that the law reset successful but it not rather than reseting the law it just going to alert the borg to not be sus as their law were reset.

I hate this. I regularly play cyborgs or roboticist, the idea that someone can walk up and basically round end me or any of my borgs sucks. Emagged borgs are already incredibly easy to metagame, and now there isnt even a counterplay where you send your borgs into hiding.

I usually don't like to give opinions on pr before playing it but this sounds horrible. Being able to remotely kill """antags""" is a terrible idea. I already find that having kos on ionised borgs a bit much but removing the interaction of chasing a mentally instable borg is just detrimental for the experience. Plus you just need to play a couple rounds as a thief or grey to realize that people don't care if you trespass into their department after about 20 minutes. So getting to the computer wouldn't be hard either.

This addition is awful. The cyborg RP was already shit and now it's getting even worse. Picture this: Some random ass guy tells you to open bridge, while saying that someone is dying in there (except you don't see the body). If you don't open you could blow up. Or this: Imagine you're chilling as a salvage cyborg with your team and suddenly you blow up, because an antagonist had access to the console, killing you and your entire squad. What I'm saying is, the instant kill console is not fun and is RP ruining addition to the game for all cyborgs. Oh, and if you break the console you MIGHT get ahelped for being a shitter. It's a lose lose situation.

Im afraid of metagaming there, lets hope its a bug that the disable button dont grey out, even its a bug it can and will be abused. And with law 3 its possible to destroy the consol and hide the board as long a crewmember say you should not.

Really not a fan of this addition honestly. You shouldn't be able to kill another player with no risk to yourself.
