@@BigMamaSSB Yes it is. Camps Kirby hard, kills early, edgeguards Kirby easily and ledge trap hard. Kirby has a lot of losing matchup because of his horrible range and airspeed
@@gumbytron English is not my first language and its discrepancy with how you pronounce certain letters sometimes confuse me. If you know how to pronounce it, can you help me? :)
Poor Kirby. He gets bullied in this matchup. Jejajeja is such a good Kirby but the character is just so bad. He can only do so well, probably won’t last too long into this tournament despite his skill.
mean, top 64 winners side is still quite impressive at the 3rd largest event ultimate has every had offline with over 2000 attendants. He had to win 8 games in a row to make it here. A huge accomplishment for kirby in general. to put that in perspective, he outplaced sisqui, goblin, and shinymark. really goes to show kirby does have potential even if we havent found it all yet.
Grenade trades don’t really favor Kirby as a lighter character. Even if you were to co-main snake and have some cool Kirby grenade tech figured out, you’re better off using your Snake knowledge to pit his own grenades against him while still having inhale on the table.
@@DairInNeutral False, grenades are ESSENTIAL in this match up. It helps you in neutral (which is super hard for Kirby), and to hit Snake's high recovery. Inhale has many safe setups, so it's "lag" isn't a problem. Why didn't JeJah go for it? That's just his style perhaps.
@@estabravo I can tell you haven't experienced this mu lol. Grenades are busted in general, and are great on Kirby. Kirby NEEDS them to stand a chance against Snake. It's better to throw Kirby grenades to interrupt Snake from a distance, than just get hit by his all the time.
@@djdrizzy9139 i have, but if you’re more practiced I’ll take your word for it. I still stand by my point on kirby not wanting percentage from stray grenades, and trades not being favorable. Your approach is more proactive. Mine keeps inhale on the table and still uses snakes grenades against him, which you saw Jeja opt for.
Kirby's Up Throw takes himself and his opponent up close to the kill line at the top and Snake's grenade exploded at the apex of the jump. Kirby is immune during those few frames so it only killed Snake. Other characters with similar throws can do the same.
@@horrighon4301 close. It doesn't take you close to the blast zone, it takes you ABOVE the blast zone... but the top blast zone doesn't actually kill a player unless you are in hitstun, which the grenade applies to the kirby's victim. As a result, this trick works at zero.
@@horrighon4301 yeah, this trick is like 50% of everything going through my head when I'm playing against snake because pulling it off is so hilarious.
