SSF4: WW MCZ Infiltration vs MCZ Daigo Umehara - SF25th Grand Finals 

People don't realize how unstoppable Infiltration was. It was only because it was Daigo that Infiltration was sent to losers in the first place. No human being in the world was able to beat him at this time. Greatest stride for any esports player.

It's all about adapting to your opponents strategy. Daigo made a plan in Winners and it worked. In GF infiltration changed up his style and Daigo couldn't figure what to do. Very similar with Infiltration vs Tokido in SFxTK. Infiltration is just very good at adapting and figuring out what needs to be done in a situation. Smart player with godly execution also.

Infiltration had this one in the bag all the way such dominant play managed to get the dive kicks in right and not to mention the combos he didn't drop once very well played.

There is no doubt Daigo is one of the greats. Regardless, Infiltration was in a league of his own at EVO. He went full god tier and bodied people so badly their skill levels looked insignificant, even though they are awesome players. Those reads were incredible.

akuma's sweep is so strong! they need to do something about it, also his ex air fireballs and walking speed... i dont think having 850 stamina make up for all those...

Each round was close in all the games they played, it just happened that infiltration had the slight upper hand against daigo in terms of skill or whatever. No one shat on no one XD Both of them played superbly, and it was very entertaining.

No matter what move you do, you cannot hit or affect akuma in anyway when he does the Ashura Senku (teleport move)

I wanted to hate Infiltration for his victory, because Daigo is an icon, and idol, for me. And I thought Daigo deserved that recognition as the best street fighter player, because he gaves us tons of enjoyment and great moments in fighting games. But after watching Infiltration interview I changed my mind. So ok, Infiltration, you win, you defeated the best.

Well to be fair when Diago was winning everything in the US he was still losing at all the tournaments in Japan. I know thats not surprising happened in ST, SNK, 3rd Strike etc. I do agree hes had the most success out of any international player in the US though.

I kind of think he could have taken up Sakura or Fei Long if they want him to play a 'safer' character with more powerful normal moves. The problem with Akuma is that one combo and he's pretty much 1/3rd dead.

I would say it's more of his play style rather than the character that people don't really like.

To play as well as he did in the WF, he was still a beast, be sure about it. Do you see the level in those games ? it's unbelievable. Daigo is a beast and Infiltration is better, beaster.

Both played well, but I think Infiltration definitely had the advantage. Ryu has to work much harder in this match and has less options.

I feel like infiltration is a bit old, and I almost thought that it was like Daigo playing against his ''big brother'' or ''father'', but tbh, Infiltration played AE at its max potential, HOWEVER, overall, Daigo is better. Remember what he did against Valle, the champion, back in 1998? Remember is golden moment against justin wong back in 2004? When he literally, parried a whole super and actually won when all he had left was like a pixel or so?

Absolute destruction here by Infiltration. Probably the most underrated SF player of all time. Infiltration is likely the true GOAT of SF, despite that usually going to Daigo inexplicably.

Infiltration is better than daigo by a long shot now. Daigo beat infiltration 3 games in a row in winners final, but in grand finals infiltration won 6 games in a row, with out a break from losers finals against fuudo. Infiltration is better you cannot deny it.

Going this way, there isn't such a thing as "best player" but only a comparaison between players of the same character. I don't think so. To me and to many observators, Infiltration is not only the best Gouki in the world, he's also the best player, knowing that he's above any player. Umehara has been the best player in the world at his own time, and for the same reasons, not just "the best Ryu".

Since when has daigo consistently not been able to adapt and "struggles" Struggles with what? He recently ADAPTED and Beat infiltration and Xian handily, the match with xian was 10-0, now id argue yes that was one match but by your logic xian must be terrible because he didint adapt in a 10 match set. people have off days and no one wins all the time, because daigo dosent shred every event anymore dosent mean hes washed up or anything, hes still more consistent than 99% of people nowadays.

If you've seen alot of Daigo's battles, he has proven he is a VERY stubborn player that refuses to be shut down by crushing upsets. Usually when someone breaks your tactics you try not to use them again. Daigo just mixes it up. You see, if a player as STRONG as Infiltration gets in your head and blows you up, you feel bad and refuse certain option selects that GOT you blown up. If Daigo refused his options it'd be a REALLY painful set to watch. Noobs.

It's not infamous, it was and still is famous. My personal opinion is that Daigo is still better as a gamer, but Infiltration has spent too much time studying Daigo for Daigo to beat him properly now. I'm willing to bet you that if SSFV comes out, Daigo will crush Infiltration.

I'm a massive Daigo fan, but I will admit that there are players that have surpassed the Beast now. Daigo is still one of the best players in the world, easily, but there are better players out there. I have to say though, Daigo screwed up a lot in this game.

Maybe those "scrubs" should just quit playing the game themselves. People forget that it's a game. We love SF because it's fun. All of these players are amazing. Under fire, I doubt most would be able to think or react nearly as fast as them.
