I’m a dingus and did the opposite of you. lol. I got mine to ride with my son and literally bought every aftermarket part and beefed it up immediately. Gotta be honest though I love my little ssr. Things awesome! First things I changed are pegs, longer shifter, better tires, nibbi carb and jets, exhaust, new plastics, pro taper bars, re geared, tall seat, better rotors. Things a beast. But I am going to do the lifan 150cc swap over winter just because. 😂 I like tinkering and I have grown up money. Not brand new Honda money. But Chinese engine swap money. 😂😂
really appreciate your method for fixing things as you work with what you got before just going and buying a new part(the PVC and tire rigging). I'd like to see some more Jimmy-rigging!!!
I recently bought an ssr125 and I’m currently trying to fix it ran out of gas riding and it won’t start I put unleaded in it but I’m draining the tank and putting 91 in and hope it’ll fire lot easier and new carb new clutch lever and shifter and new throttle assembly lots of work to get it back to running again I’ll need help if anyone got any suggestions it has spark and compression no fuel or air
Bought 1 for my nephew, we motarded it so he can ride it on the Go-Kart tracks here in Norcal. Only problems we have had is that the header nuts try to come off and the rear shock was trash. Replaced the rear shock with a 1997 Honda CBR 600f3 rear shock and it was a direct bolt on. Stiffened up the rear end real good. Just had to mount the res. These are great little bikes for the price and as long as you change the oil they run for ever. We got his in 17 and it has been track rode since the 2nd week we got it.
Your probably not going to see this but I have the same bike and I broke the back rim spokes and I was wondering if you happen to have a spare back rim and tire that I could have. Thanks for your time.
the bike has a clutch or is that another brake lever on the left handle bar? sorry if this is a dumb question to you but i grew up in the suburbs and i dont know anything about MotorCross but i am really contemplating buying one
Dylan Weldon not thirty minutes I would let it warm up about 5 minutes. Sometimes I would just start it and cruise it first till it was kinda warm then take off haha
I will be looking at your other videos and see how hard your smashing it THANK YOU VERY MUCH. No fr thank you lol i am finna watch the vids and see how it i also got one recently and i want to build it a bit
@@l3rodyyy73 i just went for a long ride a few days after getting it and the long screw that holds the motor onto the frame got loose and the motor fell down lol
Bashar Algahim that’s tough. I want one for myself and my little bro but I need to be able to take his keys when he’s acting out 🤦🏾♀️ guess I’ll have to go for an apollo
Ky Riley LMFAOO Those Apollo’s I heard they’re actually really reliable I think more reliable than the ssr idk but they are almost the same and the parts are easy to find for both but idk why I like the ssr better haven’t tried the Apollo to really give it a review but from what I hear and see they’re good bikes
@@basharalgahim63nope, Apollo uses Ducar or cheap Lifan engines, they're absolute junk along with X-pro brand. The SSR uses GPX engines which are high end Zhongshen's I believe.
Nice review. A Tip. Visit your Hardware shop where they sell nuts and bolts, buy some which is better high grade. And get the nut which has em plastic inside. Think they are called nut locker. They wont come loose on your bike. Such a small investment(yes this is where they keep their cost down with cheap inferior stock parts as with the fot rest, handles etc), it will save you the hassle of going over the bike checking everything is ok after each ride. These 4stroke vibrate as hell.. And dffently change the chain. If it comes off, you could get snagged or it could damage other part of your bike.
GZ moto i will. Hey i'm thinking of buying this bike for my 10y son. Since its ages(eons..) since i did mess around with dirtbikes, would the 125 be too much power for a first timer? Size wise i think it would fit him, but he is a slender build.
