Love your projects & especially the daisy envelopes. they were so cute!! I still write letters & send various handmade cards for my church. The ladies would love those envelopes!! TFS
That’s awesome that you still write letters, I think we all should do more of that, great excuse to decorate envelopes 🌼 so glad you enjoyed the video 🤓
Omgosh, Ker! I am going to definitely be using up my leftovers this way. I do sometimes clean my palette with a paper towel that I save and use as texture etc, so it's not actually wasted. Thanks for sharing more ways to save it!!!
Great ideas. I have been guilty in the past of cleaning off the palette because I like a clean slate but you can still clean it up by using the paint instead of wiping it off and wasting it.
Thanx! Absolutely, there's always something can be done with the "extra paint" either collect it in a notebook, use it to make tiny paintings, or do the shadow work/toning for the next painting. NO reason whatever to wipe it up with a paper towel and toss it, lol.
I never clean my palette. I use palette dirt to do the value study for my next painting or just use the pigment in my next painting. It helps to always mix the same colors in the same space. I have spaces for grays, greens, purples, blues and warms.
Great that you didn't get into that bad habit. What bugs me is that people wanting to learn look to RU-vidrs to teach them and then the newbies pick up the YTers' bad (often horrible) habits. For some reason I feel it's my mission to STOP that from happening somehow, lol 🤪 YES! Mixing in the same place all the time is a great habit.
Love this, I find I do this as well. I like to use the excess then I go back and ink it or add other details another day. I like the intentional plans you’ve put in place. This excites me, because usually I play without an idea necessarily. I’m always surprised by the direction. Where did you find those little books? Should you send a link, I like how thick they are and how they lay flat. Really interested in your thought process. Very exciting.
