I fly on military aircraft for my job and this was the first time I've ever seen this. We were close to a thunderstorm when this was happening!

Crewed a large aircraft out of Maine and St. Emo's fire was routine especially in the winter. Normally on all four engine nacelles and the windshield, sometimes it was continuous for 30 or 40 minutes.

This is the first time I've ever seen this. You could see the tip of the windshield wiper starting to glow

Must've drug the landing gear on the rug while taking off...

It was a normal takeoff. This was also about 3 hours into flight as well
