The beauty of this master pieces rests not only in the wonder of the fantastic music, almost written by God, but also in the interpretation of the text done by these two fantastic actors, besides of being extraordinary singers. You can see the angels telling you the narration of the events.

I have listened to so many other versions of this but always come back to this one. It is just superb, just the most exquisite, simply the best.. Christian's voice has a wonderful clarity and expression, he sings with such feeling despite his youth. I bought the CD and it has nearly worn out, I just can't stop listening to this sublime music. Thank you so much to all involved.

I was recommended to an awarding winning recording made years ago by Dennis Naseband boy soprano with the Tölzers and Jochen Kowalski Alto, which is superb, but having now heard this brilliant recording, to my ears these are the best two recordings. I can’t choose between them. Well done to the lads.

Der Begriff „Empfindsamkeit“ hat hier seine wahre Dimension erreicht. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, dieses Werk jemals so schön interpretiert gehört zu haben. Die Verzierungen in den Singstimmen sind wahrhaft meisterlich. Vielen Dank für diese Interpretation!

Eine wirklich hervorragende Interpretation, nur schade, dass in unserer heutigen Zeit das Wertvolle immer mehr verloren geht. Klassik sollte mindestens vier Wochenstunden im Lehrplan einnehmen.

Auch bei mir werden bei diesen exzellenten Eindrücken der "beiden", incl. Ensemble wundervolle Erinnerungen wach!! Leider ist es schon eine geraume Zeit her, ca. 40 Jahre, dass ich dort in St. Florian als Sängerknabe leben durfte!! Bravo Alois, Bravo Christian!! Echt grandios!! Bitte macht weiter so!! No they don't. Jarousski and Emöke Baráth conducted by Stutzmann is superb. Different voice colours obviously. Different emotion evoked. The work is fabulous and lends itself to different interpretations. These lad are magic too.

I am not sure whether these two young musicians are fully aware of the significance of their amazing achievement. I am revisiting this recording after a year. I am still amazed at and stunned by the level of artistry. I am quite certain that if Maestro Pergolesi could have listened to this performance he would be delighted. Aloïs Mühlbacher has achieved his changement of voice from soprano to counter-tenor, and it's well-done. He has been a great musician since a long time. Now, I think he should develop his chest register which is the basis to has a solid vocal construction and to obtain a more colored medium.
