Im from California. Not here to talk trash about Florida. Respect to them for playing these games. I am here, however, to talk crap about Texas. Those cowards dont travel, and they get blown out every time they play California
Not true about blow outs every game. Texas has won some but lost to elite California teams. I agree texas best teams need to travel and contest more top 25 national teams. There's at least 1300 teams there surely some could venture out. Also want more Georgia teams matching up nationally.
@isaacgomez5684 To prove to the rest of the country two things. 1 Texas best teams aren't afraid to travel to good competition. 2 because until you do you'll keep getting less respect. When top ranked teams go to Texas and win but don't get a return it diminishes credibility. The excuse of there's better competition in Texas has taken some hits because of high end losses and it doesn't matter that the opponent gets transfers they still won. You need to leave Texas and prove yourselves same for Georgia. I know getting to the playoffs is the objective in Texas but all the first games aren't district games. Even if you set up a home and home every couple of years and split it's better than just one home game that you lose . Besides teams change year to year. This year you have your greatest team ever next year nothing special but at least give it a go see where you stand .
I wish they would play home and home games every other year but I don’t make the schedules. I still know we have good teams and players in the lone star state, but yeah I wish we would leave and play some games out of state. It hasn’t happened all that often in recent memory.
MD and SJB are not teams you wanna play in the first week. Two years ago SJB smacked Miami central, last year STA, this year Chamminade. Florida might as well just send FSU & Miami at this point.
There’s a reason yall only send the private schools across them state lines. Other than private yall got Folsom, De la Salle, and Cen10. EVERYONE else is food
@@jakezonis17 Kids with his tool set usually make more games to remember to help at least cover a rough loss like this one. He could be a future heisman and National Championship mvp. His poise in a game against one of the nations best putting up the stats he did is impressive and the dimes he dropped on point can’t go without notice. Scouts for sure gonna keep an eye on him
@@JasonLee-kv9by Thats funny cause all of those teams best players have been from CA recently lol. Bryce Young, Jayden Daniels, CJ Stroud, Najee Harris, Brock Bowers.Thats literally the best of the best in the SEC as of recent. Yes West Coast college teams aren't as dominate as they once were but I'd say that is bc of the level of investment $$, not talent. Talk all the shit you want on Cali ball but we keep producing heismans and elite NFL players. I'm not saying Cali is better than Texas or Florida or Georgia but you also can't really say that those states are better than Cali
That Soph RB from SJB…. F*ck… Elite Speed. On the HS level if he gets going North/South he’s gone. Nice pickup SJB. That PAC Islander pipeline to SJB & MD still going strong. Them island boys some linemen right there.
Answer: Texas found out the year Bishop Gorman played Cedar Hill that playing out of State top teams is no cake walk. Also, since High Scool football has become National that their home teams are ill equipped to beat these teams let alone compete. Texas coaches are afraid that there reputation will be tarnished and the coaches know that they are not ready. Players would love to play but coaches are afraid. The Texas coaches discourage out of state competition, only a few rogue coaches take on the Challenge to the dismay of their colleagues. Texas coaches are afraid of the reputation hit they would take, also the lost booster support because these loses will pile up until you can get over the hump. Playing top teams from out of state is a learning experience that you only get from experience. Anytime you play a team that is a state Champion from any state that team is a problem, let alone teams from the top states.
@@fixmypc3798 Good summary fix. Actually I would argue that it started even before that. In 2009, Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks came to Texas and played Klein Oaks, a Texas power at that time. Notre Dame tore into them 37 - 7 (its on RU-vid) and it was televised throughout Texas. Texas hadn't seen such a sophisticated offensive scheme before. The game didnt even get press coverage the next day.... typical Texas. ... or you can go back as far as the Texas and California all-star games of the 90s. You remember what happened back then I'm sure. Cali won them all... I think there were about 4 or 5 games ? Anyway, to uphold the Texas high school football myth, I think Texas realized its best to stick with in-state games and avoid national powers. Yes DLS lost to Trinity, but that was a struggle that DLS should have won. The MD/ Duncanville and the Allen/SJB games have shut down any thoughts of future TX vs Cali high-profile games in the future.
@@dontfoegettopraychaminade was scared plus boscos last year team would have blew them out the water this is literally the worst bosco team in 10 years
bro it’s one touchdown anything can happen when 2 powerhouses play both could’ve gon either way these the typa scores you would see in a bosco vs mater dei game bra idk why it’s so different now? Y’all salty ash 😂
WTF!!! all of st John Bosco skill players are under classman and #25 is only a sophomore geese!! Westcoast hs football showcase this weekend mater dei bishop Gorman SJB,Corner Canyon all beat top 10 teams the country!
Offensive PI on that last play but we’ll take another W for the ride back home 😂😂😂 The West with the 3-0 against Florida’s best. What a way to kickoff the football/holiday season. Christmas came early for us 2024 💯💪🏾😁
florida been getting whooped to start the year. american heritage lose to milton. St Thomas lost to BG. now Chaminade losing is to SJB. but if you ask them Florida the best football state 😂 maybe for skill individual skill positions but when it comes to team ball nah
Native Californian here who has lived in Florida for the past 12 years and I keep up with HS football from both states. The difference to me seems to be the OLines. The impact of the Polynesians and Hawaiians has put the west coast teams (California, Nevada, Utah) ahead of any east coast team by a mile. These teams have NFL sized Olines...in high school!
@@jordanwhite5317Talent is spread across so many schools in Cali. Centennial and Folsom are both public schools and they're top 25 as well. You don't see all the transfers Chaminade has?
@@HellaSmuuv talent is not spread across schools. Yall private sector. Folsom. De La Salle, Cen10 everyone else is food. There is a REASON yall don’t send anyone else across them state lines. Then 75% of these guys don’t even translate to the next level
We got got public schools from Ohio in the top 30. Multiple actually. Our private schools are still ranked higher. They do a bulk of the travel. Just call it what it is. It’s Private school ball. Yall take the private schools and swear it “Cali Ball”… again cut the games
@@willamsmotto3937Cali definitely up there, I think they’re numbers 2 or 3 that produces the best football players. Majority of the other top states are southern states.
won by a td we aint trippin chaminade gone shake back and go crazy this season yall cali teams love the whole globe all that recruiting private school shii
Bosco just barely got out with their asses. Their legendary defense was exposed. It's early in the season, but Chaminade represented well. They've got some talented players.
SJB like nah MD ain't getting all of the Polynesians...We getting some too!! LOL...Good win!! Now come to Georgia and get dat spankin ya'll been looking for!!!
@@Ra-wm6bfYou think any other Bosco team would have given up 27 points to Chaminade Madonna? Hahaha I seriously doubt that. This certainly is theirworst team. If they are giving up 27 points to Chaminade Madonna, Mater Dei is going to Destroy them. They will have a serious problem with JSerra and Orange Lutheran this year.
As a UGA fan I came to watch this game bc of Derrick Cooper. I wanted to see him play even tho he decommitted. Why tf is he playing Rb??!?!! He is an elite NFL db. He can’t help them at Rb. And they need him on defense. Make it make sense. I see why he decommitted from UGA. You’re not a take at RB. You’re an All SEC caliber db. Day 1 NFL draft pick. Go play defense young man. Higher ceiling and higher income, more longevity on defense. You can’t maximize your skill set in the backfield.
Although the West Coast typically has the Best HS teams...lets not forget most of their Schools are Private. Thus, they run their Program like a College and recruit various players from all over the State if not the country. So yes the Trinity Division in California has absurd talent but the Schools are Private not Public. Makes a huge difference
Hahaha California traditionally plays more out of state teams than any other state. California has 6 teams in the top 25. California plays 6 teams in the top 25 not from California.
Florida fucked around and found out. It’s about time they stepped up to take on the big boys. It will only make their programs better. Going forward we will see if Florida continues to schedule like this or goes back to their cupcake years
California hs football is so good because of all the Catholic schools that can recruit from a huge geographic territory and not just the local school district of public schools. That's the difference.
@@drewrockwell8000Gorman’s team is better than Centennial’s who managed to be 1 td away from winning in the first half without their 5 star QB and ranked cornerbacks.
competition. cali already set up the best league in the nation and they been going out of state for years now taking on the absolute best teams. bishop gorman, texas best, florida best. question is why dont texas do the same? whats taken florida so long to play each other much less play out of state competition. you only get better by playing better opponents.
this is one of the few times MD is rooting for SJB for protection of their States rep, MD hopes to reap the Booty of this victory when they meet. Now SJB will be rooting for MD vs BG and the Booty will be that much bigger for SJB when the Trinity Powers collide. 😎😎
They never played a team with different type players look when they beat top teams look and see the players that left when they could play them they never do think about they were undefeated nobody considered them national champs central the played central after Ruben Bain left sfa the year after all they five stars in 2020 and 2021

Chaminade defense is ass I'll tell you that now . They still have work to do I believe this or last year were their first time ever being nationally ranked, so give them time just like it took bosco years to earn respect, chaminade is a fairly new school but it's still impressive that their already nationally ranked
All 3 FLA teams shouldve won their games this weekend and where ahead. Coaching and play calling is the major difference I viewed in all 3 games. Last year FLA won all the games but 1. This year we got swept. But hey, at least we're never ducking any smoke. I dont see no California showcase. Only 2 teams Cali ever willing to roll out a ball is MD or Bosco for a reason. An expert opinion, High school Football ranking by state, Despite what these neophytes say. California is #1 (California's willingness to play top competition and their strength of play). Texas is number 2 (Why, not because they have the best teams. They dont. But Texas's strength comes from the mid level teams. Team 15 and down is where its strength lies.) Florida is number 3 (Partly because Florida is very top heavy like California their top 25 is a problem for all but the top states also Florida's willingness to play anyone, they seek out top competition) Georgia is 4, Ohio is 5, Arizona is 6, Pennsylvania is 7 , DMV is 8, Alabama is 9, Louisiana is 10. What do 8 of these top 10 states in High school football have in common? They are all states where the majority of the year you have weather that allows you to go outside to practice and play, also workout, outside. Only Pennsylvania and Ohio are an exception.
can beat florida but really cant blow em out but florida is looking sad img losing to a utah school st thomas lost and chaminade lost......Florida is gone shake back week 2 mark my words.....But we still got cocoa lakeland and Venice who is great just like last season
