Hello Emily, For starters, I would recommend Fr. Iain Matthew’s book ‘The Impact of God’ which was how I was first captivated by St. John. Then, if you’re looking for introductions to St John’s works, Fr. Marc Foley’s books on the Ascent and on the Dark Night are well-worthwhile.
