This weapon concept could work if the grenade launcher was On The Bottom of the weapon, and the entire system was built around and assault rifle instead. Ditch the bullpup internal grenade magazine for a tradition magazine feed launcher instead. Could cut 35% of the weight by doing this.
Agreed. Allowing a dedicated grenadiers the option to engage close threats on the fly is a solid concept. Balancing weight and power is the biggest stumbling block. In this instance: It's more practical to issue a dedicated launcher and a sidearm, than this.
It doesn't actually exist It is a cosplay weapon Just like the Pancor jackhammer which is featured in movies and video games despite never being finalized, only one concept model exists, cannot fire, and requires screwdriver to take apart to get into the magazine

You mean like a m4\m16 with a underbarrel GL? A technology we've had since the Vietnam war. Better yet, an AUG with the under barrel GL a technology we've had forever too. The future is now it just doesn't look like the weebs want it to look.

That was one of the coolest guns I've ever seen in my entire life and I'm 54 years old. I agree the rocket launcher should be placed on the bottom. Also they need to figure out how to make this weapon have to wait. If not just sell it to Hollywood and they could use it in a movie or two. Or Alec Baldwin could shoot somebody with it… 🤔
A grenade launcher with a built in 9x19 PCC .. it's "different " but Is it superior in combat.. . Idk I'd say ..no .. it's WAY TOO HEAVY a polymer m16a4 with an m 203 underneath would be both more powerful 5.56 or .300 AAC .. vs 9x19 and lighter weight. I think the xm29 was about the same weight more powerful and had quite a set of optics built in
