John Browne that’s kinda how literally any competition works. The winner does well, and the loser screws up. Stay tuned for your next elementary sports lesson where you’ll learn the difference between paper talent and on ice talent.
It was awesome seeing people either not show up or roll in 2 hours late to work this morning. This might have been the happiest I've ever seen St. Louis!
I got no love for the Patriots, but the Rams deserved to lose that Super Bowl after what their POS owner did to the city of St. Louis, not to mention the Rams shouldn't have even been there in the first place. So I'd say the city of St. Louis won in both those instances this year, even if we all had to choke on yet another Patriots Super Bowl championship.
One year later and I still can’t believe this happened. I’ve been a St. Louis Blues fan for 30 years, since I was 12, when Brett Hull was my favourite player. It was a rough 30 years, but worth the wait.
Congratulations ST LOUIS BLUES!!! We are Proud of you!!! Thanks for a wonderful Season :) Go Crazy Folks Go Crazy!!! And Break out the Zamboni!!! Again thanks for a wonderful season!
I live right by stl and been a blues fan my whole life! What a great feeling to have knowing they stomped the Bruins in there home court! From last to first! Never Give Up! Go Blues!!!
Nice take, Jim. A Blues fan since day one in the 60s. Great final series between two awesome representatives of the game! Both teams played with class, grit, and a toughness you don’t see in any other sport. A big shout out to all the guys who played through amazing pain to put their team ahead of themselves - Dunn, Chara, and how about Playoff MVP Ryan O’Reilly playing with cracked ribs. Totally sick, if you ask me!
BEST trophy presentation: the commissioner gives the cup directly to the captain, not the team owner. It should always go to the captain first and NEVER to the owner first! I hated that bullshit in Oakland last night with the Raptors owner hoisting the trophy first and then holding on to it for so long. The players are the warriors out there in battle, not some old wrinkly billionaire. Made me puke seeing that.
@@yankeebastardnslovakia No. I was replying to Lou Ders. He and I are both from St. Louis. And he said "Meet me in St. Louis". I replied "Meet me at the park." There is a theater in our park, where plays are done in front of a crowd. It's called the Muny of St. Louis. And the commercial song for it, goes like this "Meet me at the Muny, the Muny in Forest Park." It was just a play on words to Lou Ders comment, that's all.
I’ll never say the Blues deserved it. It sounds a bit entitled or given in sympathy. I will say and stand by they EARNED IT!!!!!!! After the new year After the regular season After Winnipeg After Dallas After San Jose After Boston THAT EARNED IT!!!
deserved, earned is the same thing. ok, blues won their way, so enjoy it. Just wonder how St Louis feels to be called cheaters. Us Boston fans know about that. If only for Laila, to me its ok blues won.
DonQwantsyou , what are you, like 12 years old? You called STL cheaters but gave no example therefore you have no basis or credibility. Being called cheaters, big deal. It does not apply. What if Someone said the Bruins and their fans are a bunch of entitled whining children? First off you would get butt hurt so get out the A&D ointment. Second off you are still bitching about losing instead of realizing that there are bigger things in life to concern yourself with. Third off, the Bruins bitched about all the missed calls that didn’t go their way instead of putting their heads down and working through it. When Marchand said “they took our dreams away “ he told the entire hockey community that he was entitled like a school boy in the rich kids class. I could go on but I suggest to you to grow up and learn that sports do not build character. Sports reveals character and it is plain to see you have some growing up to do.
She may have never suited up with a pair of skates and may never in her lifetime, but in my book little Layla Anderson was the MVP . The Blues should make a jersey for her and when they hoist the Stanley Cup banner into the rafters, they also hoist that honorary jersey up next to it where it will be there so long as there in hockey in St. Louis. What do you say Blues fans?
Heaven and the BLUES, GREAT DAY IN ST LOUIS !!!! WE THE FANS KNEW TO KEEP THE FAITH, DEDICATED FANS THAT NEVER GIVE-UP ON TEAMS. WE ARE BLESSED WITH THE CARDINALS, BRING ON SOCCER!!! PROUD OF YOU ST.LOUIS !!!
horror/thriller author at amazon.com books sez: "Exultation language," eh? Gotta love it! Nice take on the magnitude of what the Blues accomplished, JR. As for Binnington, I've been saying this ever since he came up: This guy DOES NOT like to lose. He DOES NOT like to even allow a goal--and it's evident in his body lingo. Goals; losses: They both piss him off--as they should!
The Blues legends that's kinda strong. This went to seven games, if the Bruins had score first than they would probably had won the cup. As for the face licking who even remembered that.
Say what you want...coulda, woulda, they choked when it mattered in a gm7 no less, in their own house!! I can only imagine how they felt listening to the celebration on their own ice by the SC CHAMPIONS, SLBs, from their own locker rooms. The tears falling from the Rats face made my late night, GREAT!!!!
In their season exit interviews and after their Gm7 loss, all they could say is they took our childhood dream away. We were one win away. That one loss was so huge though. I have never liked Boston, n never will. I watched all of their interviews after the loss. It was kind of funny, imho.
