Excellent performance by St Patrick’s, did their Club, Our League and Country proud. Kian Leavy MotM imho, superb guile and energy. Mason Melia outshone the Başakşehir’s No9, Krzysztof Piątek who has 30 caps for Poland, some performance at just 16years old! The FAI/League of Ireland must postpone Pats game on Sunday, return in Istanbul could easily go to ET on Wednesday and Başakşehir’s Turkish Super Lig game is off!
Half way there and all to play for, hoping for a historical night in Türkiye for the saints. From an attacking perspective St Pats looked the better but could be very different in Istanbul
@@Randomguy-v2t OK wokey. Call it that if you want, but I'll only do it when they call it england or ireland or scotland etc. in their own language. In our language it's Turkey because it fits the language in the same way irlanda or inglaterra fits Spanish
Fair play to pats, they played well and probably deserved the win. I said to my mates when Kenny took the pats job that they would win the league before we do(Derry City)
Pats did the league proud. In with a slim chance and I'd love them to go through for Stephen Kenny in particular. Only criticism is final delivery from Mulraney and Elbouzedi, needs more care.
Remember these guys have a budget of 49.5 million and played groups of the champions League.... Istanbul financially are in a different league, but to be fair ye have done a phanamonally well to be in the 4th round 0-0 at half time...id go so far to say turning these over would probably be the greatest result since Rovers turned over Partizan Belgrade away in 2011...(not a Rovers fan btw)
Well done Pats, made the Turks look ordinary, unlucky not to bring an advantage to the away leg, hopefully try and nick something over there, will be tough but not impossible
I'm interested in the Crowd Keith. How many where there and why were there only sections of each stand open?? Did they not sell enough tickets to warrant opening it all or is it UEFA rules or what. Can you shed light on any of this
Well done St Pats you guys probably have no right to be matching these on the field...I say that because these have a budget of 49.5 million, and have mixed it in the Champions League groups before...I wreckon if ye to turned these over would eclipse Dundalks beating Bate Borisov a few years ago....I don't think ye will, but to be 0-0 with 90 mins to go in the 4th round is an unbelievable achievement. Good luck in Turkey...
One is well aware of the vast gulf in resources and finances but personally found the rovers effort embarrassing, particularly regarding the usual leaky defending and the goal from thd ever reliable Calamity Cleary. Not good enough!!!!!
