St. Peter’s Church Of Zürich is an Evangelical church located in Zürich, Switzerland. The church is one of the four main churches of the old town of Zürich, along with the Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and the Predigerkirche. The church dates back to the 8th century and the church is the oldest church in the city of Zürich. The second church was built in 1000 CE. That structure was later replaced by a late Romanesque structure in 1230. The current structure was built in 1706, after the Protestant Reformation, when the church was named the first church to be built under Protestant rule. The church has the largest church clock faces in the world, the bells ring every 15 minutes, and the biggest and hour bell, the Totenglocke (Bell Of Deaths in German) weighs 6,203 kilograms, which is more than 6 tons.
