I main Uta and I prefer to go second for the extra draw. Also depends who you’re playing. Yamato, for instance, you’ll want to go first so you have a chance to put up a blocker or something before they can swing.
I main Uta as well and it depends on matchup. Vs Enel, if Uta goes first you can play 7 Luffy + 8 Kid on 7 and 9 don curve whilst taking away Enel's 7Mom, 9 yama perfect curve. That being said you don't get to draw because you are on perfect don curve so there's an argument that going 2nd (6,8,10 don) lets you draw each turn + play your big boys.
It really just depends on the matchup. I prefer to go first but sometimes taking 2nd away from decks like Sakazuki and Katakuri is worth it. Being able to attack on your 3 don turn for 8 while drawing a card and following up with a brook nami combo on 5 don is pretty strong. If you have an insane hand you drop 7 drop luffy on 7.

Yeah, playing kid in that matchup is kinda pointless because they are just going to hold the 8 drop katakuri to answer it. I’d rather just invest my don in being aggressive.
