The difference between the 5 cost Luffy and the baby brothers skill is if someone plays a 10 cost purple Luffy your leader will be back to a 5k on your opponents extra turn and they can go for letal, but the 5 cost Luffy on your board would still be an 8k on that extra turn.
@@XellTCG none come to mind right now. But has a MTG player myself I can say that it's a difference that might be relevant as time goes on with new cards being released.
Yes when I remember to! for BY luffy I was running something close to this: onepiecetopdecks.com/deck-list/jp-format-op1-and-st14-meta-decks/deckgen/?dn=Yellow%20Black%20Luffy&date=2%2F18%2F2024&cn=Japan&au=OPOhime&pl=1st%20Place&tn=Flagship%285-0%29&hs=Cardshop&dg=1nST13-003a4nOP06-106a4nST13-007a4nST13-010a4nST13-011a4nST13-012a4nST13-013a4nST13-014a4nST13-015a4nEB01-056a4nOP04-083a4nOP06-086a4nST13-019a2nST06-015&cs=202 Generally, you always need to have a sabo on board to block those kinds of swings! against saka/rp law, you can set up by having one life left even after you combo so that way you can survive even if they remove sabo
For the Makino, you can't add a card from your life to hand as Luffy. It'll go to the bottom of your deck. Which means that you can' resolve its second effect of looking at your life cards. I love the video though!
That’s incorrect. The leader only cares about face up cards so as long as the card you are taking back with Makino is face down it will resolve as normal!
Ahhh okay. I thought it was all cards from life would go to bottom. That’s cool to know. So if someone swings at Luffy and he takes the hit, top life card is face down, I’m assuming that goes to his hand.
