Another great video. A lot of reviewers don’t like to address accessories like this which is a shame. I’m really happy to learn of new options for my setup. Thanks for bringing this to us, Hans.
Hi Hans, you confirmed my experience with the AUVA‘s EQ, that I use under my McIntosh C49 preamp since 3 weeks or so. After using AUVA‘s 70 under my PMC12 signatures (just like you, I had Isoacoustics before), I was excited to try the equipment versions, but I did not expect a similar improvement as with the loudspeakers. I was wrong! To use your words, the positive effects blew me away, especially the bass response and improvement in texture, sound stage and immersiveness. Today I ordered another set that I plan to use under my Canor DAC2.10 or the Aurender N200. Will let you know my experiences.
Hanz seems to have a wealth of knowledge and his own love of fine music through out his home making these reviews a great place to learn. I enjoy Hanz reviews very much. Thanks Hanz.
Thank you sir for another informative review. And thank you especially for doing the hard work to compare and review products. Because of your work, people like me can just enjoy listening to our music at the highest quality.
@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Thanks for yet another great informative and objective review. I placed my order for 2 sets of Auva EQs for my Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE dac and Musical Fidelity Nu Vista 600 amplifier. Next month will order the Auva 100s. Later I will need some EQs for the streamer and audiophile switch with separate power supply.@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel
@@ughhhh6953sorry for the late response. After replacing the IsoAccoustics Gaia 2 with the EQs, we immediately heard an improvement. Even my girlfriend heard the difference and said we should definitely keep them. I got some for under my amplifiers and center speaker as well.
How do you find the 100’s ? I’ve just had the EQ’s under my Antipodes server and seriously impressed. Looking to order the 100’s for my speakers having read so many great reviews. Tried both Stillpoints which did very little & insanely priced plus Franc Footers which were better but nothing special.
I've just gone back and watched your review, Hans. I have the Alva 100s here. They just arrived today for review on my channel. I'll be placing them under my Wilson audio Alexia loudspeakers. I've just placed two sets of CSA component isolation under my two playback designs components and WOW!!! An immediate improvement. Anyway thanks for your work I'm a long time subscriber to your channel 👍🎧🙂
Great review. It helps to see the components in the system, and the interconnecting cables. One thing I did not see in the review is damping plates on top of components. The Isolators do have a damping chamber as you showed us in the video, but those contact the bottom and sides. The top is left to vibrate in my observation. I know this would add even more time to the review period, especially since there are so many types. To simplify, I would use one isolator on top of the component, in the inverted position.
I use washing machine dampers for my electronics including the Mytec Bridge. Results are very good and it's a very cheap solution. It would be nice to compare. I put the dampers underneight the rubber feet but I will try your solution Hans to put them next to the rubber feets. Thanks for the idea!
I have tried several solutions like that. If the rubber is matched to the weight of the device, it might isolate external vibrations to a certain degree. But it won't kill vibrations inside your electronics. If you're happy with your solution, that's fine. But don't think it's even near the Auva EQ solution.
Thanks Hans for this review. I've been tempted and bought 2 sets following your review. I tried under my Chord Dave or the M Scaler, in both cases it brings unwanted harshness and brightness, will sent them back for refund.
very interesting indeed!! tx for sharing!! I propose to place one isolator right under the mains transformers - that might reduce housing vibration at the source.
Hans, excellent review again...here in Slovenia we call it that you have hit the nail on the head again 😁. Have you maybe tried the Auva Isolators under the Eversolo Master edition and amp in your other reference setup? If you'll try let us know ok. Many of us don't have such a high end stuff as yours ref A1 and A2 setup :). Peace.
I'm late to the party, but I just replaced a Roon Nucleus + with an MU1. Ordered a set of 4 of the AUVA EQ's. Hope they arrive by year's end. Will be interesting to discover if and by how much these improve sonics. The MU1 is already on a good base - HRS rack and is wired up to an Altaira CGS, though the affect has been limited.
Dear Hans Enlightening review once more, thank you! I was wondering, with your todays knowledge and if you would have to start all over again: with what Stack products would begin? Loudspeakers or electronics? 🤔 Greetings from Switzerland, Guido
Does anyone know of a USB-A to USB-B cable that has either no power wires (the black and the red, from memory) or else the power wires are not terminated? I want to use it to connect my computer to my DAC/ADC.
Great video Hans. I've installed 4 x CSA 2's under my surround processor this weighs 25kg (Levinson 502) so 6.25kg per foot they seem to have compressed just short of touching the top of my audio rack I've measured the clearance at about 0.5mm is this normal as the CSA 2 can support up to 10kg per foot so I'm only using 62% of the total load capacity?
My equipment has small rubber feet and is placed on a thick oak rack coupled to a concrete floor with spikes, the street is almost free of traffic. I wonder if there still will be much gain in this situation 🤔 thanks
I have 4 CSA1s under my Jay's Audio CDT2 Mk3 and I'm delighted with the result. I did use 3 of these temporarily, under my Pontus II to compare with the improvement I got from the CDT2. I placed one near the front and 2 at the rear to avoid the standard feet of the Pontus - effectively inverting the triangle. Very pleased with the result - I'll be ordering 3 more soon.
Hans, have you had a chance to listen to the CMS LS footers for speakers they're ungodly expensive but one reviewer said they're better than the Townshend podiums without even comparing them I don't think a spike in a cup surrounded by metal rings will isolate better than the podiums just wanted to find out if you've even heard of them the company is called critical mass systems
