In this addendum to the Stacking Mexican Silver video series, I sift through all of the coins we've covered in this series across centuries of Mexican coinage and offer my five very favorite choices. I explain why I like them, and I offers some pointers and tips if you decide to pursue these pieces as well.

I love rewatching these and I learn something new every time - was lucky enough to get a few 1947s in a recent batch of Mexican silver!

I finished all 5-6 videos you released. Wonderful. I was all over on silver when I first started. I bought some Libertads. They introduced me to the Cuauhtemocs I was smitten. You have given us an amazing education and inspired some direction in me. I’m going to expand my collection of Mexican silver.

Really cool and I'm so glad you found the videos worth your time. I picked up 10 Cuauhtemocs about a month ago and have been thinking whether or not I should do a video about them. Based on your comment, I think I might! :)

@@mk1fourwinds62 Not at all. Who knows what the English spelling of a 16th century Aztec would have been? Wikipedia also calls him Cuauhtemotzín, Guatimozín, and Guatémoc!

Good program! I have a few different Mexican ones. I have a 2011, 1kg, liberated older 1 ozt and even old cobs from the time they didn't mill the blanks before striking, even from Potosi. it's the first of your videos I'm seeing. You have a great silver stack. I really enjoyed this video . i have been looted so much, but I have my newer silver left !

I just bought 4 Libertad's, (1) 1991, (2) 1992 & (1) 1995. I bought them in Mexico for 550 pesos each. With the exchange rate being 17 to 1 that's about $32.34 US Each. Very good condition. I love it when they called them Chubbies because they are so fat/thick.

Enjoyed this content. These are definitely some of my favorites. Especially the Libertad’s and Moneda Scale coins. I also buy graded 8 Reales like 1826 and similar! Would really like to find me a nice graded 1914 Caballito!

What do you think about the silver Panama Balboa coins ? I have been researching, looking at average, Au, Bu etc. Don't know if there is a good exit strategy for these coins. Beautiful coins and love the lady design on the reverse on some of them. They are kinda like the Mexican coins I've been getting of late. Plus they come in many sizes.

I love those older balboas! I talk about them a little, and how I sold some lower quality examples of them in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W-R2PliF3RA.html&feature=share8

Question, I am a silver stacker but have some gold. I can afford mainly 1/10 and 1/4 oz gold coins. I have some sovereigns too. But I am curious which would be a better stackable coin (even if for a short time) the 5 peso or the 10 peso? I see there is only a slight difference in weight and purity. (one is .24 and .900 pure, one is .23 and .910 pure but some what of a large price difference (even from the same dealer) Thanks brother!

So the 20th century Mexican pieces are great to stack because they're generally exactly proportional. Maybe the 19th century pieces are varying weight and purity? For the 20th century pieces, like those shown in my recent short (ru-vid.comWBK88wcEzcI?feature=share) The weights are proportional: 5 peso: Fineness: 0.9000 Weight: 4.1666g Actual Gold Weight: 0.1206 troy oz Melt Value: $279.91 10 peso: Fineness: 0.9000 Weight: 8.3333g AGW: 0.2411oz Melt Value: $559.83 (5/1/2024)
