I prefer the older holders myself, As far as a collection, I shelled out enough money for a two ounce ultra high relief coin, when I could have gotten a ten ounce bar instead. Happier with the two ounce coin, even though I know I will lose money when it is sold.
Kind of new to this, why are some sites selling rounds at basically the same price or even more expensive than some nicer coins. Aren’t rounds meant to be cheaper?
Great question and welcome! It's probably supply and demand. For some reason, that retailer has more demand for rounds so they charge more. Also some coins are not a full troy ounce of .999 silver. Comparative shop and find the best price.
Another really interesting, informative video - thank you. I dislike slabbed coins as I like to handle my collection but also entirely get why numismatic materiel is TPG. Europe is generally down on slabs with some auction houses refusing slabbed coins or insisting they are cracked out! (WTF?) The UK is about 50/50 on slab/don’t slab. I have just a few. And I don’t get the collecting of specific slabs, but that’s just me. I was wondering, do you have a personal favourite coin in your collection? And is it slabbed….. 🙂
A definite distinction between the UK and the US. Though many older collectors here still don't like slabs. I do have a favorite (really 2 or 3). And they are all slabbed and stickered :) Cheers!
Great video, I live the old ANA soapbox holders,I kinda collect some sample slabs,I got a original PCGS Doily holdered Morgan ms 63 for like 73 dollars, love the old holders👍👊

I don't know why people keep talking about Costco don't get don't buy you'll go back sell it someplace else what's the big deal just sell it somewhere else they keep doing video or Costco don't get refund😂 and all that bye from them and if you want to sell them sell them to another coin on shop what's the big deal I buy from Costco I'm a stacker and if I need to sell I go to my local coin shop here in New York what's the big deal people keep talking about Costco don't buy from you again forget about that sell it somewhere else gold is gold .😂😂🎉😂😂
I buy really good slab of coins I like. I have a PF68 Franklin, and PF65 Mer it dimes plus MS67 Mercury dimes, and I have some Walker MS64,MS65, but I really want an SLQ mint state coin in a slab. I am having trouble finding any that are not crazy expensive.
On the topic of 1955 Venezuelan Gold Coins......how many of them are actually in that country vs here percentage wise - I think the answer to that question is very illuminating ;)
Yep, the smaller 2-troy ounce chain came from a company called North Atlantic Research. But this was way back in early 2005. That 2-ounce, 24K chain, including the craftsmanship and shipping to the US, ran me a whopping $1120!
80% of people still think that the fiat dollar is the way to go for saving your wealth. It blows my mind when I shop around and see how little I pay for hold and silver . Some even think it’s worthless 😂 NO JOKE
